Oh, Lord, what a handsome little guy! He's just a beauty and you got a good one with good hair in the front. Some of that manufacturer's boys had such short hair in the front it was distracting. Love his outfit. He should make a wonderful escort for your Patti's and Miss Shirley! I am currently wishing I had a blonde, blue-eyed version of this boy. They are pretty rare right now - or the last time I looked. |
Jeanie i seen a blond/blue eyed a while back, but he looked like his hair had been cut to short in front as you described...I will watch for you to :D I love my boy he is so handsome in his uniform |

Does your boy have the dreaded left leg problem, causing him to list to the left as so many of the repro's do? All mine have it, some not as bad as the others. |
Jeanie his legs/feet seem to be fine, he was made by Ideal 1950/60 era I have the boy from Danbury mint to |
Ohhhhh! I thought that was an Ashton-Drake repro! All I was saying about the blonde Peter was almost getting one was while the AD repro editions were still offered. He looks so like mine I thought he was AD. So that is an original Ideal Peter? With the dark hair? Rare! Oh, WOW! Just WOW! He looks to be in extremely great condition for an Ideal. The Ideal Peter is really the one I want but until recently - until I got Shirley - I wouldn't let myself pay that kind of money for a doll. Now I will so probably closer to Easter, I will be in the market for a Peter - either a blonde Ashton-Drake repro or an original Ideal - which, of course, does not have the left leg issues. Just the repro's tend to have that. |
I will post you a pic tomorrow of the two together :) i love them both |
