Looks like, the rain has passed us by. Another day pool side 😎 |
That sounds like a good day |
Time for a win. Have a great day all |
We got some rain here this morning. That’ll make my plants happy 😊 |
Yesterday was a gorgeous day. Good thing I needed to mow That’s a two hour project. Good thing I like to mow Live on a small acreage and love it. Have a great day all |
That’s what I’m going to do in a few as soon as the dew is gone. I hope you have a rider for a 2 hr. Mowing |
Oh yes I have a rider. Wouldn’t want to push it. May be good for me. But no thanks Cold and windy day here today |
Warm and very windy here. Too windy to enjoy being outside |
Good Saturday morning. Hoping everyone has a terrific weekend. Taking Zoey on her first outing to my daughters. Should prove interesting. Lol |
Hopefully it’s a great day for you 😊 |
We spent two nights and she did wonderful. Makes me a winner for sure |
Was she spoiled by every one? |
Well of course. She is fitting into the family well |
Have you got a fenced in yard? |
Yes I sure do. She is so little I always watch the sky as well. |
Oh my never thought about that |
Yesterday sitting in the waiting room waiting for my truck to be inspected, there was an older man waiting also. He struck up conversation with me about his two Chihuahua's. One had recently passed away, the 2nd was snatched up and carried off by a hawk while it was in the yard. With these little dogs one must always watch the skies when these little ones are outdoors. |
Yes I live on a small lake. And the eagles love to fish. Thank goodness they seem to like fishing better then small animals. As I have feral cats and to my knowledge have never lost one to a bird. Along with bunnies But one never knows. So a watchful eye for sure. Can not imagine how terrible that would be |
I see turkey vultures soaring around in town. That’s about the only large bird I see. Wow, I thought they only ate dead carcass. I guess I need to be alert as well |
I think turkey vultures only eat dead things. We have them as well. But hawks and eagles will snatch any small creatures |
Fortunately, I can’t recall seeing any hawks in town. On a rare occasion I’ve seen an eagle flying around here. I usually don’t leave Dexter unattended too often outside on the pool deck. |
Looks to be a beautiful holiday weekend. Hope you all have a great one |
Gloomy rainy day here today the rest of the weekend looks nice Have fun and stay safe |
Going be warm here today. Had the heat on earlier this week and now the air. Oh well Mowing day again. Have a great day all |
At least, you won’t have to wear a jacket mowing 😊 |
I almost hit an eagle the other day, damm those birds are massive. I came around a curve doing 35MPH and wham, there's this eagle trying to pry stuck roadkill off the road, thank you GOD no one was behind me. I slammed on my breaks, that bird was not leaving without that food. I was blowing and blowing my horn, finally he got it loose, that bird was so big and heavy it took a long time for it to get air bound, and I am blowing my horn like crazy, the drivers on this road do 50 and over, it is a posted 40MPH, I didn't want a car coming around the curve and rear ending me, I would not be here writing this. Finally, it was about 3 1/2 feet off the ground, I figured it would veer left or right to get away from blowing horn so I started moving again, nooooo, this freaking bird stayed straight in front of me lol. Thankfully I had to make a left turn, when I did I pulled over to watch which way that bird was going, it went straight, had I not made that turn, I surely would have hit it. Here on mountain roads ya never know what's around a bend so I always go slower than the limit. |
Sigh, I totally agree with going slow around those curves |
