I would contact Target Headquarters and see what their policy is on this and then go from there. That is sad that they asked him to leave.:(

They have the right to refuse service to anyone and they asked him to leave because they don't support the military and do not want him in the store in his uniform...

I wouldn't believe it except it is coming straight from my husband's mouth who heard it straight from his friend that was asked to leave...

This is the 2nd time today I have heard something negative about target:( My coworker is leaving to go on his honeymoon tomorrow to hawaii. His wife is going to have to call in sick because her supervisor said she could not take the day off:confused: She already put in for the time a month ago. Her supervisor is a replacement for the one who gave her the time off. That not very good for employee relations or customer. I always shop at target but it makes you want to reconsider.

:eek: Thats crazy. Just b/c he was wearing his uniform? If I were him I would probably contact the mgnt at Target, then if I didn't get a satisfactory response I would contact regional HQ then go from there.

I've heard about this before as well. My neighbor is in the Air National Guard and refuses to shop at Target because of their long history of not supporting the military.

I this came up one other time. I've heard that Target being owned by the French doesn't support the war or troops or something like that. But then again, I just read something where they do and has a program that sends them care packages. So I don't know. Weird.

I wonder if it is because they are not allowed to wear their uniforms outside the base or off duty. My dad is retired military and has said that to me before.

My husband was in the Air Force and we went lots of places with him wearing his uniform... Including getting married... There is no such rule... He also was involved in the first conflict with Iraq and it upsets me beyond words that Target will take our money and not support the ones that put their lives on the line for them to have the ability to collect it...

WTH?? Are you serious? That's wrong on soo many levels! :mad: I work in a mall that's by a Navy Base, and a lot of the Sailors always have on there uniforms because they are required too, they can't wear civilian clothes, which I'm sure is the case for a lot in the service. I would definitly go to management. To ask someone to leave is uncalled for.

OMG, That is just wrong, my next door neighbor worked there last year, her husband who is in the Army was coming for r&r and they wouldn't let her have the days off, even though he is serving in Iraq. They told her they do not support our troops:mad: :mad: . I do shop there and love it, but after this I dont think so:mad: :mad: . My hubby is in the Army and so are most of our friends, NO MORE TARGET fo us:mad: THEY SUCK:mad: We have been to target while my hubby is still in his military uniform and no one has said anything, I see soldiers in there everytime we go to target.

Wow! That is shocking! I don't shop at Target much, but I won't shop there at all now.:mad: The guy should call his local news station(s) and see if he can get them to do a piece on it and expose them...I can't even imagine how many people shope there and don't know about this that might go to Wal-Mart or somewhere else instead.

This is TERRIBLE! Hopefully it is just that manager that is bad. I see people in uniform all the time going to my Target with their uniform and hat on and everything. I don't know anyone in the millitary and a friend of mine and I were actually talking about it when we saw them because we wondered if they have to wear their uniform all the time or is it a personal choice. Neither of us knew.

I live right by a Millitary base and a target to. I see people in uniform there all the time. Huh I hope it never happens here. They wont have any Business.
