I'm glad to hear that you get to spend some time with your baby! |
I got up this morning and decided that Toby is not going to stay home by himself today, so he's getting car rides all day while he's at work with me (I spend most of my time travelling on the highway). He seems pretty content in one of my offices. He checked the place out found where I put his blanket and off to sleep he went. Too bad I have to wake him in a few minutes to goto another office. |
Maybe you can get a moses basket and make that his transport, bed and toys all in one!:D |

Or if he's small enough, you could get him a soft crate (or even a wire one with handles) and put him and his stuff in it. That's what I do with Tink. She travels just fine in her small crate and when we get where we're going, the door comes open and she is free to roam a bit or take a nap in her crate with her blankies and frog. |
He was so spoiled today. He had McDonalds for lunch and chicken for dinner. All this action knocked him out. He went to bed really early tonight. He gets another day of spoiling tomorrow. I'm taking him out to a lake area that is beautiful tomorrow. Just have to watch the hawks and eagles out there. |

My parents really take care of him. They are home all the time. Plus its -30 here in the winter and my parents take him to Florida. So at least he doesn't have to be where its cold. I do miss him in the winter but I fly down to see him and them twice. He really likes my parents. My mom always makes sure he has his medicine. She bathes and brushes him. Cuts his hair and nails. He is better at their house. I have hardwood floors and a bi-level so lots of stairs that he can't climb. They live in a bungalow with no steps and have carpet. I see him for a few hours every night. |
You're dogster page is adorable! You sound like a great son, and a wonderful Dad! Wishing you all the best........ |
I know how you feel. My and my dad have been on the outs off and on since mother died. He is old and sick but I refuse to let him talk mean to me and talk bad about my mother. I haven't seen him in almost a month because everytime I go over he starts. For my own sanity I have had to stay away, not that I don't love him and don't care, my son keeps me informed, I'm just dealing with grief and I don't need that kind of treatment right now. You know where your heart lies and that will help you deal with your dad. |
Thanks for all your well wishes. I made the dogster page like I thought he would have wrote it. He had another great day traveling. He crashed on my lap while I was driving. One spot he was in such a sound sleep he was snoring it was hilarious. He was on his side, tongue hanging out, head hanging down over my arm and his front paws crossed. I wish someone could have taken a pic of it. I do believe he has separation anxiety though. He would inspect an office and walk back to where I was with his blanket. Then he would bark. I pick him up and he was fine. Then put him down and he barked again. He did this for about 10 mins. If I didn't pick him up and just touch him he was fine. So I ended up just having him basically sleeping on my foot until he calmed down. I guess with the strange place it worried him that I was going to leave him. I can't fault him for that. I'm the only one in the building so he could bark all day. My parents came home and mom was nice as pie. Dad never said anything but he was miserable about something. Didn't ask and didn't want to know. Mom said he was miserable all trip. He needs help. But he won't listen to anyone so I'm at a loss. |

Right now, that is all that matters ... bring a peace offering or maybe your dad will simply forget (people who have had strokes tend to forget a lot b/c frontal cells have been damaged) ... go see your dog ... life is short! |
