WARNING: Gross Spider!!! 4 Attachment(s) EXTREME CLOSE-UPS BELOW!!! I posted a strange looking black widow spider awhile ago (back in the summer) and then we found this one last weekend in the big dogs water dish outside (YUCK). I have no clue what it is!!! I first thought of a brown recluse, but it doesn't have any markings. What do you think??? *shudders* that gave me the chills :eek: I'm terrified of spiders...even fake ones :embarasse My boyfriend had said that he wants to scare me with a fake spider one day...and I told him that it would be the end of our relationship :p |

Oh my that is a creepy looking spider. I too am terrified of spiders...thankfully most of the spiders around me are just daddy long legs type...but the other evening, there was a big black one in our garage and had to have hubby come save me... |

It looks like a type of 'wolf spider'. They are not poisonous...but can bite. |
YUCK i found a HUGE black spider like that near princess's dog food bowl... i threw it all out later... YUCK!!!! |
Most spiiders will bite if they feel the need to protect themselves.I do not mind them at all,my husband calls for me when we have a spider.LOL Love snakes bats etc,but will run and scream like a child for a mouse. Very pretty spider though. |

EEWW!!!:eek: I am deathly afraid of spiders! Girl I dont know what I would've done if I found that thing! Probably froze up and screamed for help til somebody came to rescue me! I know I am a chicken, but I can't help it! Snakes, lizards, etc. I love! But those little 8 legged critters need to stay far, far, far away! Sorry I don't know what kind it is....:confused: |

Yup, it looks like a wolf spider to me too. They are real common around me. This year they are huge though. |
We get spiders like that here in S.A. They are called rain spiders - they come out in the summer when it rains lol . They are not poisonous, and rarly bite. BUT my Coffee ate one about 2years ago and got really sick, lethargic and all, the vet said he would not have been affected if he had been bitten but because he ate it he got sick. :eek: We had to induce vomiting and he was ok after a day or two. I actually like having them in the house, they eat all the mosquitos etc. but I keep the babies well away from them. |

GEZZZZZ - that is one narley spider!!! :eek: I thought it looked like it had a tick body. We have ALOT of Black Widows here and I just hate them! I'd take 100 Daddy Long Legs over one Black Widow. :( And I'd take a snake over any spider! Jenn what do you use to spray the house? I wouldn't let hubby spray yet because of the "kids". Mia is really good about leaving things alone but Max... well he's into EVERYTHING and I'm afraid he might lick the air near the spray! :p |

that is FREAKY. Spiders are my biggest fear in the entire world. One night last summer I slept in the bathroom because I saw a spider on the wall in my room. At my church camp it's dead in the middle of the forest on a mountain, and there are Daddy Long Legs EVERYWHERE. I love camp, but it makes me want to die when I walk into the showers/bathroom and they're crawling on the walls. |
