THANKS! Olivia! |
Sending prayers your way. :getwellso |
ALL kinds of good thoughts heading to this baby! Bless him! |
Sending prayers your way. I think parvo stays in the ground for a certain amount of time. I'd check with your vet on how to clean the house, and how long it takes to get out of the ground. You might want to keep your babies away. |
They have my prayers. Parvo will stay in the ground for something like 2 years. He shouldn't have any trouble with getting it again though when he gets home as he should be immune since he just had it. Sounds like it was caught very early on and he isn't a baby so he will probably do well. |
Thank you all for the prayers!! We should HOPEFULLY find out something tomorrow.. I will keep y'all up dated |
Praying he gets better soon! |
Olivia, My prayers for the babies. Here's a link that tells how to clean the house and yard. It is so very contagious so make sure that everything that you take back home with you has been disenfected also, if you can. If my vet has a parvo case come in the tech and vets that treat the dog cannot go near another animal until they've showered and changed clothes and the areas where the infected pet has been is disenfected with bleach solution. http://www.workingdogs.com/parvofaq.htm |
I hope all goes well with the parvo treatment. Thank God your pups aren't with you! |
update Thank you all for the kind words and prayers We talked to the vet today and he said chino is doing better. He is now holding down water (which he was not yesterday) This evening there are going to see if they can get him to eat..yesterday before I called my mom to tell him he was sick.. I offered him bacon and he would not even smell it... Thats how I knew he was REALLY sick. Chino NEVER turns down food. We are going to call again tomorrow.. They said as long as he eats and drinks..and be able to keep it down..he should be fine OH and THANK YOU yorkiemom for the LINK!! THANK Y"ALL SOO MUCH!! Olivia |
Sending you good thoughts and prayers. |
Thanks you for all the prayers!! Chino is doing MUCH better. They said there going to keep him this weekend and if he dose fine and keeps his food down..then we MIGHT be able to take him home Monday!! |
Im so happy to hear hes doing better. make sure when you return to your house you bag all your stuff and even your shoes do not wear them into your home with your pets. wash all items. |
glad the pup is doing somewhat better. My pittie girl got Parvo when she was 4 mnths old and I almost lost her. Thankfully she pulled through cause she is my complete heart! From what I've seen older dogs seem to have a better success rate than puppies. before I brought lulu back home I was advised to bleach all my bedding (where she slept), clean the carpet, and bleach the yard. I couldn't bleach the yard since I lived in an apt complex. but i soaked the apt in bleach. the main thing was NOT bringing in another dog, esp a puppy in 6 months. |
Update Thanks for all the kids words and prayers! chino has taking a step back... he is not holding down anything... He was doing so good the other day! UGH I just hope he fights it! |
