Sorry Monday the answer with the one with the men baskets cats and kittens was 1020 and celstu1 was the first to get it. 6 men with 6 baskets = 36 baskets each with a cat in the baskets. each cat had 6 kittens 36 x 6 =216 so there are 36 cats with 4 legs and 216 kittens with 4 legs 216 + 36 X4 legs = 1008 and the 6 men have 12 legs 1020. Someone did get the other but you were correct too. Good for you. |

how I figure 15? It's a long explaination. I did it backwards. but forward 1st surv. (w/15) divided by 2 is 7.5 minus .5 equals 7 then 2nd surv. takes half of 7 which is 3.5 then takes .5 which equals 3 then surv.3 takes half of three which is 1.5 then takes .5 which leaves 1 for the monkey (I LOVE YOU MONKEY!!! YOU CAN SURVIVE WITH THAT 1!!!) BACKWARDS?!!! 1 from monkey plus half that surviver took equals 1.5 then mult. by 2 because he took half and opisite of divide is mult... that equals 3 then add another .5 from 2nd surviver which equals 3.5 the mult by 2 which equals 7. then add .5 to make 7.5 Then to get the total for 1st surviver you mult that by 2 also and I THINK it's 15........... I CONFUSED MYSELF, AGAIN!!!) |
6*2*6*4*6*6*4=41472 legs. (this is one of my math homework problems  i HOPE i got it right :) ) |

Ding ding ding ding!!! YOu are correct. The answer is 15!! Here's the solution: Survivor 1 takes 7.5 + 0.5 = 8, leaving 7. Survivor 2 takes 3.5 + 0.5 = 4, leaving 3. Survivor 3 takes 1.5 + 0.5 = 2, leaving 1. The monkey gets the final coconut. Quote:

Here's one: You're driving a bus that is leaving on a trip from Pennsylvania and ending in New York. To start off with, there were 32 passengers on the bus. At the next bus stop, 11 people get off and 9 people get on. At the next bus stop, 2 people get off and 2 people get on. At the next bus stop, 12 people get on and 16 people get off. At the next bus stop, 5 people get on and 3 people get off. What color are the bus driver's eyes? |
This is my favorite: A black dog stands in the middle of an intersecton in a town painted black. None of the street lights are working due to a power failure caused by a storm. A car with two broken headlights drives towards the dog but turns in time to avoid hitting him. How could the driver have seen the dog in time? |
the first ones answer is : blood shot 2nd is this a joke?? |

The answer in MY case is BLUE...... because my eyes are BLUE and I'M driving the bus (the first 4 words of the puzzle). |
I think both of those are sort of hard and a little stupid so here is the other one (answer 1: YOU are driving the bus, so the color is of course the color of your own eyes. answer 2: Who said this happened during the night? it happened before night See i told you it was simple and stupid) this one i will not tell the answer until someone gets it!! One day, a father went to his three sons and told them that he would die soon and he needed to decide which one of them to give his property to. He decided to give them all a test. He said, "Go to the market, my sons, and purchase something that is large enough to fill my bedroom, but small enough to fit in your pocket." From this, I will decide who of you is the wisest and is worthy enough to inherit my land." So, they all went to the market and bought something that they thought would fill the room, yet was still small enough that they could fit into their pockets. Each son came back with a different item. The father told his sons to come into his bedroom one at a time and try to fill up his bedroom with whatever they had purchased. The first son came in and put some pieces of cloth that he had bought and laid them end to end across the room, but it barely covered any of the floor. Then the second son came in and laid some hay, that he had purchased, on the floor but there was only enough to cover half of the floor. The third son came in and showed his father what he had purchased and how it could fill the entire room yet still fit into his pocket. The father replied, "You are truly the wisest of all and you shall receive my property." What was it that the son had showed to his father? |
