Monday that answer was a match and you would light it. I said perfume and she gave it to me. sortta the same. btw thanks for the museum link, I made the cutest picture of Crystal.

One of us will have to come up with a really hard one today.

Monday the question was 'what can you put in your pocket that would also fill the room. Once the match was lite it would fill the room same as perfume.

Grab a calculator. (you won't be able to do this one in your head)

1. Key in the first three digits of your phone number (NOT the Area code) **use the first 4 digits if you have an 8 digit number
2. Multiply by 80
3. Add 1
4. Multiply by 250
5. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number
6. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number again.
7. Subtract 250
8. Divide number by 2

Do you recognize the answer ??

tee hee...I had to pull out the formula to see how it works :thumbup:

[250(80x+1) + y + y -250]/2

=(20000x + 250 + 2y - 250)/2

=(20000x + 2y)/2

=(20000x)/2 + 2y/2

=10000x + y

Basically you're just multiplying the first three digits of your phone number by 10000 and adding the last 4. :p (who says there isn't a purpose for algebra!)

WOW, I don't know what was more impressive, the little trick or the fact you can use algebra! lol

(BTW - this works with a UK number too but the results come up ???0??? so you just ignore the 0 in the middle but it's still cool!)

That one may require substitution to solve. It will take me longer to set up the equations...(I'm rusty. I exited my last algebra class in 2004, and I checked much of the information at the door!:rolleyes: LOL)
