| How much do you think this ring would go for? Its my moms old engagement ring from my biological father who is no longer is in our life.. she had sold it to my grandmother and she gave it to me.. I am wearing it on my right hand right now and this is what its like right noow and I'll hopefully be able to post a pic 1/2 carat round cut yellow gold 14k its small but pretty size-not sure but it fits on my hand and I will check when I go home Sorry the picture quality is HORRIBLE.. I had to use my phone.. hopefully I'll get a better picture soon! Anyways from the pics, and what I have told you what do you think for a price? I really want to sell it. |

| I'm sorry, I can't help you with a price but I can tell you that a lot will depend on the quality of the diamond. Maybe you should have it looked at by a jeweler...then you would have a better idea of it's value. |

| I would have it looked at by a jeweler. There are so many variables in diamonds with the 3 c's that it would be hard to give a price. |

| I am going to get it looked at and appraised.. I was told it was a great quality diamond but there arent any papers anymore.. I think they are up in out attic but I am pretty much looking for a quick sale I guess.. I just want the money to go towards my 'yorkie fund' hehe.. Already have 200 in my bank account and 100-200(+?) that my grandmother is giving me. So I proabaly have about 400 so anywhere from 600+ to go.. gahh anyways thanks.. Im only fifteen so I need to bring my mom to a jewler or they will think I stole it! |

| Honestly, probably not too much...I hate to say. My ex bought me an engagement ring 2 years or so ago. When I went to sell it back to the same jeweler about 6 months later, he gave me less than half. You'd probably be lucky with a few hundred (or more depending on the clarity and color of the diamond). Sorry. You can also check eBay for price comparisons.

| Definitely get it appraised. If you sell it on Ebay or a similar site, you will get lots of questions and possibly not sell it if you cannot prove it's authenticity and quality.

| Well how much would it cost to reset it in platnum? Would it be worth it? I don't really expect more than afew hundred.. As for color and clarity if you look strigh down it looks like its one you would see on a computer it glistens and it looks perfect.. from the sides it the same thing.. the only dowfall is the size.. |

| a platinum setting is much more expensive .... here is a platinum setting for 0.56ct stone (on ebay), I do not think it will be worth it to you to have it reset .... http://cgi.ebay.com/56CT-DIAMOND-PLA...QQcmdZViewItem

| My suggestion would be to take the ring to a reputable jewelry appraiser for a full appriaisal. They will rate the diamond's value by recognized standards which include clarity, size, color, and shape. |

my grandmother's diamond engagement ring, my mom's diamond engagement ring and my own diamond engagement ring ... I have little reason to wear them (and who can wear 3?) My daughter (whenever) will end up with 3 plus her own .... But I am sentimental also ....

| I have no idea on how much you will get for it, but I know my first engagement ring was 1/2 carat very very clear, nice diamond on a gold band and the original price was only 1500 I believe. I wouldn't sell it, of course ... so I don't know how much you will get back.. but I thought I would throw out my original price to maybe help in some way? |

| Take it to a reputable jeweler and get an appraisal (will usually cost about $20). Jewelery will never sell for anywhere near the appraised value. You can usually expect to get about 1/10 of the value when you sell - perhaps a little more on Ebay.
