My sister Renee has cervical cancer...AGAIN Hello, YT folk! I know it's been a long long time since I have posted, and I do miss all you longtimers! I have become involved in many things this past year and it has truly limited my on-line time. However, some friends of mine have reminded me that there are some people here that do care about me, and would want to know about this important time in my life right now. I posted in May of 2006 when my sister Renee went through her first bout of cervical cancer, and many of you sent her wonderful email messages. In August of 2007, Ren was diagnosed with a return of the cancer, and had surgery which has been extremely difficult for her to recover from. Oh that poor girl - sending prayers your way and will go to the site. I've been going thru the worst month of my life too and know how she feels - Please tell her she has prayers from Houston coming her way and keep her chin up ~~ they can do amazing things these days with cancer |

Glad, I am so terribly sorry! It has been an unbelievably difficult year! I will be praying for Renee and her family as they face the days ahead. How could you think we wouldn't remember you, you stinker!! There is a "cult" following that do love and miss you!! :) I know this is extremely heartwrenching for you, but just remember, we will be praying for you too!! |
Glad, I am ever so sorry to hear that your sister's cancer has recurred. I would imagine the surgery was so hard on her and I do hope it helped. I must say that prayers help on this site and I am so glad you posted You are the sweetest dearest person and always so good to me and to everyone. We miss you on YT. You were surely one of the brightest lights here. You and Your Sister will be forever in my prayers until she beats this. Hugs, Joan |

OH GOSH, you are all too sweet! Thank you so much for all your good words! Villette, I know about your hard time in your life, sweetheart, I posted on your candle page a while back. I am so sorry about the loss of your dear husband, and am sure that it is difficult for you to pick up all the pieces of your life right now. Hang in there, sweet girl!! Bettyanne, you completely crack me up!! HUGS, my friend!! RR, I just love you!!! Going back and forth from NC to VT to be by Ren's side has been very draining for me. I’m lucky to have a job that lets me to spend this much needed time with my sister. I’m sure after you read the website we set up you will understand why I have been missing around here. My girls Wosie & Dreama are doing great, but they do miss me a lot when I’m gone. I have missed being here, and wanted you all to know, I think of you all often, and read posts when I can. Cancer has taken away so many of our family members. I will not let Ren give up without a fight! I would love it if you could visit her website. My brother Brian created it and my son Darek wrote the article on the main page. I am so proud of my family for pulling together on Ren's behalf, and we have already had a major response from the community. RenFest should be AWESOME!! Thanks again for all the prayers and good words, everyone. You are wonderful people!! |

Renee, prayer's coming for you once again that you keep up your strength and fight this dreadly desease. I have lost several member's to cancer and know the devestating effects is can leave behind. Thinking positivie thoughts and prayer's can fight it. Miracle's do happen and I pray there is one waiting for you. |

I just seen this today and am crying. I read the story and I wish I could just reach out and give her a big hug. That poor lady has had soooo much upon her. I just don't always understand how one person can go thru so much sometimes. I mean loosing your son, cancer, and now cancer again. My heart is aches for her. May God touch her life!!!! |

Oh Glad! Love you, love you, love you! I know it is so hard to fathom how one soul can possibly stand under such a tremendous strain as Ren has done...but you know what? God won't put upon us what we cannot bear...if He leads us to it, He will lead us thru it...that is just something I really believe and I have leaned on that many times in my life. I pray everyday for Ren and for you and for your whole family. May God strengthen Ren each day and heal her body and her heart. How terrible this is for her and everyone who loves her. I always wondered why some people have such a very tough road in life and others just skate on by. To lose a child and have cancer is so unfair. I will be sending prayers her way. Warm hugs to everyone. |
Hi Glad. I visited the site and it is really nice. I am standing by my baby sis as she just underwent her 2nd surgery for vulvar cancer (she had cervical cancer and a complete hysterectomy 14 years ago). It is a devstating thing and your sister has been through so much. Check out the site www.lookgoodfeelbetter.org which has support groups and special make-over programs for women in cancer treatments. There might be something there your sister (and you) can use. They do have online access, but only on the top floor of the hospital, and she's not on that floor. So she will have to wait until she comes home. Oh Glad!!!!:ghug: There are so many people whose lives have been touched by cancer. I lost both my Parents and both In-Laws to it:( I'm going to pass on the site you made for your sister. She has been through way too much, loosing her son, cancer, and now cancer again. Anyone who has a strong heart and sees the site you set up will check it out. I wish I could be there, but my heart will be. How about a YT Star Night for Ren On Renfest night!!:hands: We can all pray together and donate too.
