The taped message he says....Hello do you know who this is? I know who you are, do you know who this is its....... un able to make out what is being said.....My grandmother taught me how to answer my phone yep yep yep.. he then says a few things that I do not want to repeat lets just say they are threatning in a way . He then says are you missing your kitty...and then he says good by and hangs up the phone. the whole time he is using a voice changer device so he sounds like a creepy voice. every so often he will use his real voice. The police have listen to it and they feel that we should get the court order of the phone records and press charges. They have been real nice and helpful and tomorrow when my husband is at work they are going to patrol the area extra to keep an eye out on the house for us! So far we only got the one call today, so I hope that they stopped!

That's really scary. Is the stray cat you were feeding missing? Just curious since he asked if you were missing your kitty

That is crazy! i would be so scared! could it be a neighbor or someone playing around and you just not know it?

We think this person was referring to me not answering the phone calls and having voice mail get it, their was 2 hang up phone calls on the voice mail the 3rd call the creep started talking and that is when he made the comment about his grandma teaching him to answer the phone. So if the 2 other calls was him then he called 3 times but only talked once.

Also the stray that we are feeding has stayed by our house and keeps coming up for more food. So he is ok, we are taking him to a vet and are thinking of keeping him!

Here, we can dial *69 and they will give you the number of the last incoming call (if it hasn't been blocked on the other end). It's worth a try. Be careful!!!

If a Number is Private (or blocked as you stated) Then *69 wont work.. But I sure hope that the court order works..........

You and your family are well, and keep us posted on getting this creep...My husband is a police officer and we have had times that someone read his name badge and said "I will remember you!" Then my husband won't let me go out walking alone for a week or 2! AND he is a good cop, most people say "I want him to arrest me, he is nice!" There are alot of creeps out there, just keep the police patroling...It sounds like it may be a neighbor, do you have anyone in the area that may be a bit on the weird side? Stalker type? I bet you will be very surprised when you get to the bottom of it...If your husband stays home any more, have him park in the garage or around the block and let the caller think you are home alone they may trip themselves up and you will have him home with you...I will be thinking of you! We have not heard anything after we got the court order going on Monday. I do not know what all is involved on the Cable company part. I have ben trying to figure out who it could be and we are all friendly with the people on our block. I never have had any problems with anyone. we have the boy's help out people here all the time and we get stopped and told how great our boy's are when we go for walks. They will not accept money and I guess it has impressed our neighbors. I have only lived hear a year now and up till recently I have alway's felt safe. I will keep you informed when we find more out. Thank you all for your support on this, thankfully I have not had any more phone calls!.

I said you may be surprised at who it will end up being, then again, maybe not..I would not be talking w/ anyone in your neighborhood about this as it may be someone nearby (they have to be re: comments about porch and kitty) and you do not want to feed their sick pleasure or scare them off and not find them if you can't get results through the courts and phone records because people who are dumb enough to do something like this are dumb enough to trip themselves up in time, what goes around comes around...I wish you luck...

What a scarry thing to go thru. I did too, a long time ago and found that besides the whistle you can hold the phone up to the smoke alarm and set it off. That definitely makes the party on the other end of the line take notice. I'll be praying for you and your family's safety and for whoever is doing this to you to be caught and dealt with. I'll be praying for you little stray kitty, too. That guy doesn't sound too stable. Be careful and stay safe.
