Def. the doggy daycare:thumbup: , not the boring job:thumbdown :) |
I'd be interested in finding out how you like the job at the doggie daycare. I"ve toyed with the idea of starting one of those, but I wonder if working with dogs all day long would take the joy out of it. Especially the poop cleaning and behavioral issues. Of course, I think I'd take s--- from dogs than from people in the customer service job. lol |
I'd take the dog job unless I really needed the money. |
Depends on how important and how many bills you have. If the $8 an hour could cover your bills, then I would take that. BUT if you need money I would say $11 an hour. |
I vote the daycare job.. But if I was in your shoes, I'd have to do the better paying one :thumbdown . NY is just too expensive |

Take the doggie day care job! For me, I would love to play with dogs more than talk to people. Plus, I'm assuming you aren't just shooting the breeze with these people on the phone. The only reason they are calling is because they have some sort of problem and aren't happy about it......not fun! Unless you are calling them (as a sales person--cold calling).......again, not fun! If it is only a part-time job and the difference in money isn't a major factor for you----go with the fun job! :aimeeyork |
I am going in for my "working interview" this morning at the daycare! I think it is funny that the dogs get to interview you there! I don't mind cleaning up after dogs, because I have to do it here at home, and sometimes after my neighbors  And the behavioral problems don't scare me, I love to work with dogs that don't have the best discipline, in a healthy and productive way. And I love stimulating dogs mentally and physically. I can't wait to go have a great time! |
I want to hear all about the doggie daycare, esp. since I will be moving to the area! Awe if things work out for you I would be able to leave Harley in good hands if I needed a sitter! :) |
If you love working and playing with dogs, then start your own dog-walking business. It's big money too. People in San Francisco are making over $90.000 a year walking doggies. My sons ex-girlfriend who has a masters degree quit her job to just be with fur-kids which she dearly loves. Nanny's also make great money, and get to travel with the family as well. Something to think about. |
Would you rather go to a job you love or hate everyday? See it's a no brainer...enjoy the dogs! And congrats! |
I'm glad you are taking the fun job! How did your working interview go?? I wish there was a doggy day care around here, thats defintely where I'd be working. That way I could see Abby more AND have fun all day. |
Just curious on how it went. :) |
