V's hubby's memorial service I just wanted to let everyone know how it went. It was a beautiful, V held up well considering circumstances. She has Leonards wedding ring on a chain around her neck she held that ring over her heart and rarely let it go VERY touching! Jeanie (yorkiemom55) and I met V at the church this morning for the service then we went to the luncheon. Lenoard's family is VERY nice and seemed to be treating V well. She will leave Michigan at 7 am and be back with her girls by tomorrow afternoon which she is VERY excited about! She said thank you a million times for all the gifts we were able to get the girls along with the petsmart and gas cards. She cried so much in thanks I had to tell her to stop cuz she was making me cry! What a wonderful wonderful person she is....We all kept saying when collecting the gifts we just wanted to make her smile....well trust me SHE IS SMILING!!! |
Oh I'm so glad V had friends there with her. She really is super special, thank you for being there with her. Leonard will forever live in her heart, he's a angle watching over our very special friend. :hearts-xx :ghug: :hearts-xx |
Paula, Thank you so much for going. I too am glad that she had friends there. Thank you for letting her know how much we care. Hugs. |

I just made it home & wanted to express my thanks to Paula for being there & for Villette allowing us to join her and the family for such a private time. I gave her hugs for all of you. |

Thank you both for being there and representing all of us!You two are great people. She is such a wonderful person and really needs all of us now. I know that Leonard will be watching over her as well. I bet she can't wait to see her babies. |
I'm so glad that V made it through all that. Hope she can back on the road to recovery now. |
Thank you so much for letting us know and for being their for Villette. I pray she can start the healing process. |
yes, thank you for being there. I am glad the two of you were able to make her smile. |
I know V was glad to have you there and I'm so thankful for the update. |
Although I know you guys did it from the bottom of your heart I still want to say thank you for being there for her. I pray that she feels the love that we all have for her and it gives her some sort of comfort. She has a pretty long road ahead of her to adjust to her honey being gone but I know that all the good folks here are going to be there for her and that really makes my heart full. Hugs and Love to all my fellow YTers that are there for V in her time of need. |
She commented more than once that she is overwhelmed with all the love she feels from YT I know I only got to spend a few hours with her, but V is a very open person she kisses hugs and loves on ya like she has know you her whole life...and if there is anything I walked away sure of today, it's that V KNOWS this site is full of people who love her and she truely truely loves and appreciated each and every one of us. |
Thanks for the update. I am sure that having some friends there meant lots to her. Now, sending lots of prayers for her to have a safe trip back home to her furbabies and strength to heal in the days ahead. :hands: :hands: |
Thanks so much Paula and Jeannie for attending the memorial service since I had to work!!! I did get to spend a few hours later in the afternoon with Villette. She was so appreciative to you guys for coming. Jeannie, Leonard's family could not believe you made the drive all the way from Muskegon (for those of you not familiar with Michigan it was about a 3 hour drive one way for her)!!!!!! Wish I could have gotten there early enough to see you guys, too. When I met V, I delivered the basket of goodies for the girls. She was every overwhelmed at the amount of goodies included and sends a special thank you to Brenda (Cafe Max) for the treats, Bobo and ducks and to Isabelle for the beautiful Halloween bows. She truly appreciates all her YT friends and again Leonard's family was very impressed that everyone would go out of their way for someone they only "know" online. I also delivered a special care package for Villette from me and my girls. It was very special to be able to met her and Leonard's family. Thank you to everyone on YT for your wonderful friendships and support to each other and a special "thank you" to each and every one of you who made this trip possible for Villette. I am humbled to be a part of this great group. |

I agree with everyone else. You girls did good. And I know she appreciates it more than she could even say. As do we. ;) We have some very good eggs here, I'll say that. ;) |
I am so glad to find this thread and to know that V had you guys up there with her during the service. I know you were a BIG help to her getting through it. This will finally bring closure and help her to heal so she can move on with her life. The spy girls and Tessa are doing fine but i know they will be happy to see their mommy tomorrow. I'll pick V up from the airport and drive her straight home so she can just smother them with love and kisses! I'll take pictures of the reunion. :) YT'er are the BEST and i am so proud to be a part of this wonderful group of folks!! God Bless!! |
