Anyone use Stainless Steel cookware? I bought a set of Martha Stewart stainless steel cookware.. I only used one piece and I think I may have messed it up already. The bottom looks like it has some residue on it. It doesn't really like discolored or anything. I tried not to turn the heat on to much when I put it on.. but I'm not sure if that caused it or not. I've washed it a few times.. I even let it soak for an hour or more.. still looks the same. :( Any suggestions or tips? |
There is a special product you use to clean that up, but the name escapes me. I'd go back where you bought them, and ask for the specific cleaner. I like them, but always have to remember to keep them on low. |
I LOVE my calphalon stainless pots but sometimes they look 'spotted' so I use "bar keeper's friend" to clean them up. I think I bought it at Walmart |
I have All-Clad and I see the same thing on mine. I think that Bar Keepers, mentioned above, is good for that. |
Thanks so much guys! I'll look into buying some. |
Thanks from me too. |
I use stainless steel farberware. I clean it by hand. |
I need some too. I love the stainless but after a while you do get sort of grease stains on them. I think someone recommended something called magic bullet which is supposed to be good for cleaning stainless steel. I tell you no matter what type of cookwater you buy there are issues with them...lol. |
Does it work on copper too? I have some copper bottom pots, and they really get funky looking. |

I think the magic bullet works on copper too. They sell it at malls at the as seen on tv kiosk and I think I have also seen it at Bed Bath and Beyond. I need to get some because my poor stainless steel pots are needing a bit of mercy...lol. |
I know this thread is extremely odd but I still haven't gotten around to buying some stuff although now I really should.. Is this the right stuff that some of you mentioned? I just want to make sure I get the right stuff and don't mess my cookware up. http://www.shopfosters.com/store/pro...0&cat=0&page=1 |
