My guilty pleasure...The Girls Next Door
 

I just got cable less than a month ago and so far, the thing I end up watching the most(in bed late at night) is The Girls Next Door. Never in a million years did I imagine I'd watch such a show based on what I thought it was about.

It's just fun to watch. Like junk food for the mind. It's got great makeup, pretty parties, shopping, cool outfits(when they actually wear clothes). There's no sex and they bleep out the majority of swear words. It's pretty darn tame compared to what I was expecting. The whole three girlfriend thing seems to be blown out of proportion. Clearly Hugh and Holly are really together and the other two have their own bedrooms and you never see anything going on. Actually, when Hugh and Holly are together it's kinda touching.

I've never been a reality tv show fan(if you can even call this reality t.v.)but this show is just pure fluff and eye candy(jewels, cars, clothes, parties) that it is relaxing to watch. They did a makeover on one of the girls sisters and it was so wowing that I want one! Ok, in my small town almost nobody even wears makeup but still.....

Just thought I'd share in case anyone was avoiding it because of the premise. Although, maybe I shouldn't admit I like it but I do. :D

I watch this one too.. usually re-runs on the weekend. I like Bridgette, but Kendra..what a AIR HEAD.. and her laugh- drives me insane.

I like it too...I don't necessarily understand their lifestyle (3 girlfriends that are ok with "sharing" their man??) but I think it's a great show & I really like the girls...they're nothing like what I would have thought they were.

I often wonder about the sex part.. I kinda doubt that Kendra and Bridgette even get involved..even on the show..it seems like they basically just all live there.. no hanky panky cept with the one girl..what's her name?

Total reality junkie here...and girls next door is HILARIOUS they really are nice girls and I think they are showing they are not dumb bunnies as they may have been perceived as in the past! I love it

OMG I thought it was just me :) I just got cable not too long ago too and spent a whole day watching the girls next door marathon.

LOL i Love the show!!! I watch it all the time!! They have new episodes every Sunday Night. I will admit Kendra is my favorite lol she is hilarrious!! I think that Holly is the main girlfriend she is the one who does "all the work" lol Not sure if there is really any sex even going on with her either. She wants to Marry Heff and have his children but Heff doesn't want anymore kids and doesn't want to settle down and re marry either lol. She talks about it all the time.

I started to watch this after my mom told me all about it. I like Holly and Bridgette! Kendra can get annoying but she is funny.

I've seen every episode and can't wait till the new season begins. I think Bridgette will probably move out and pursue her reporting career. Holly wants to stay with Hef and become the west coast photo editor (and she excells at that) but I don't have a clue what Kendra will or can do since she has no formal training. Hef did buy her a big house of her own, but I'm not sure whether she's going to live in it or rent it out. I think she likes being totally pampered and not have to do any domestic chores, so she's staying in the mansion.

I watch it ALL THE TIME. Its great at sensoring bad parts out. I heard some where on the internet that Hef was going to marry Holly, who knows if its true. Byt shes dying to marry him and have kids!

I bet they are all involoved at times. Thats a mans fantasy!!! So Hef can get whatever he wants.

I watch the show too and I really like it. I was curious too about how "involved" the other two girls are. I found a book that a former girlfriend had written and read it. OMG way TMI. Let me just say that the other two are definitely "involved" and then some. I also found out that Hef was not really interested in Holly until she had a bunch of work done which I find sad for Holly but he is surrounded with beautiful girls. I would recommend the book to those curious about their lifestyle but once you read it, there is noooo going back :eek:

I love this show!! It took me awhile to get my hubby into it. I wanted him to watch it so he wouldn't take over the remote! I would always say, "Honey, how can you not enjoy watching a show about the Playboy girls?" Now I think it only turns it there once in awhile to appease me, but at least I get to watch it!!

I love Bridgette and Holly is super sweet. Kendra gets on my nerves. She's such an airhead and her laugh... ugh! Her toned body and athletic skills have me jealous, though. Hubby told me she was the hottest one (based on looks alone) which earned him a punch in the arm. He can think they are hot... but in the order I put them in. :D :D

Kendra's laugh annoys me too. I think Bridgette & Holly are sweet.

I love The Girls Next Door. Of course I started watching it when my fiance had it on one day when I walked into the room. I have been hooked ever since. Did you see Kendra on the Celebrity Rap Show on MTV. It is kind of a weird show so I just dvr it and then watch the parts I want.

OMG....ME TOO...Okay I admit it....I am hooked on this show. My hubby is always laughing at me but I just love it.

I can not stand Kendra though - she is so annoying sometimes and her laugh kills me.

I love that show and watch it too. I'm not sure why, but I do. I think it is funny.

I think like most reality shows some of it's just for the camera(I don't think there's really a sexual relationship with all of them) Holly is just so nice and Bridget seems so sweet but a little ditzy, Kendra is so unpolished it's funny(and yes, her laugh bothers me too). None of them seem fake though, except for their boobs? haha. It mentions that book here:

As far as plastic surgery I think we can tell the implants but Holly also had a nose job. I wouldn't call that a ton of plastic surgery IMHO. None of them are that old so really don't need it. We all saw how much Ashley Simpson changed with just a nose job.

I love how whenever it's a holiday or they're going to get gifts it's all from the Playboy stores.
