I got a job at a dog boutique and quit

Yesterday i went in this dog boutique and asked the guy if they were hiring and he said yes. I got hired on the spot and he told me to go in for training today and see how i like it. It was for a sales person on the floor. They also sell puppies and very overpriced clothing, supplies, etc. I applied cause i thought that atleast i would get to entertain the puppies or something, since they are so sad. First off they are very very clean, they have people clean right after a pup poops, but they are kept in those cold little, i call them metal jail cells and i felt so bad. They also occasionally will let a dog run around before they open or close. They have tons of celebrity clients, today on my first day VS model Adriana Lima came in, she got her dog from there and she was getting her groomed. Everyone was acting like she wasn't even there cause they said she goes a lot and are used to it. I'm like wth?? LOL She is gorgeous! I didn't like scream or anything but inside i was starstruck She has a beautiful white 4 lb maltese. She was very friendly and was there for a while talking to the manager in Portuguese. Anyway after a long day walking around, etc. I just told the guy that hired me that it wasn't for me, i don't like sales. And i can't stand seeing the little sad pups downstairs all alone, and cold. They also have a vet there, and all the dogs get groomed, i guess brushed everyday. There are like 2 grooming girls. I also kept thinking in my head how much of a liar they are just to make a quick sale, cause the workers get commision when they sell a dog. This little Snauzer was sold today who was very little but i knew he would get bigger than 4 lbs and the ppl buying him thought he would only get 2 lbs bigger. Yea rite. They say that about every dog and sell them for like $3500. There were a lot of Yorkies too, i just wanted to take them all home with me

that would break my heart also .... I have trouble when I work with autistic children b/c it hurts so much ... but when progress is seen - it feels good.

but outright lying to customers ... that is a "no no" ...

My husband would kill me if I worked there, because I'd want to bring them all home, and I'd spend my whole paycheck on things for the kids.

I don't blame you....I hope this was not the fancy store on Lexington Avenue.

I went there to get some items and felt that I was being robbed , the same tennis sweter that I got Koda at Target for 20 dollars, they wanted 95 (figure that out)

The Best choice you ever made.

It IS on Lexington! hmm maybe it is the same one! It's bet. 61 and 62nd st. Gosh yes their stuff is so expensive, $55 for a piece of thread!

Tho they have cute things i would not buy from there, it was wayy too expensive, i have seen the same things for way cheaper. Even the lady was telling us to always give the costumers the most expensive things first then go down to the least expensive cause you always want to make a sale. That's why i hate sales, i hate being dishonest, trying to rob ppl. I just felt like telling them"Actually this is wayy too expensive, you should just go somewhere else or online would be better". It's not like there's commission either, we don't get more the more we sell, the company does.

I know I just wanted to cuddle and hold all of them. OMG a lot of them were looking at me, crying and with such sad eyes like they wanted me to hold them. And when ppl did hold them they just enjoyed it like little babies. There were some there even only 8 weeks old. I felt like crying cause these 2 sister daschunds were together in one cage, and one was sold today and the other one was left in the cage crying, missing her sister. I just thought in my head, that's the last time you will see your litte sister and you don't even know where she's going So sad
