Let's talk people Pick a person, it can be your bf/gf,husband, wife or if you don't have one your best friend, family member, somebody. :) Tell me your favorite thing/s that you love about them. I pick my bf. We almost have 2 yrs in December. We have known each other since freshman yr of HS but started to go out when freshman yr of college finished, which we were also dorming together, along with 3 other friends and we realized we had feelings for eachother. At first i did not like him cause i was still hung up on my previous bf but he did not give up on me and i realized how he was a great person. He truly is my best friend too. What I love about him is that he is always there for me, he listens to me, i can talk to him about anything, he makes me laugh, he is attentive and def. not cheap. If i want something, whether its food or shoes, etc if he has the money he will get it, he is always thinking about me. He is the one that bought me Sophia. I love that he truly loves the furbabies, all of them, considers them his kids and takes care of them with me. And he supports me in everything i do. If you don't have a sig. other you are not left out. Tell me about a friend or family member. I want to learn about all of you:) |
I pick my husband. The best thing about him is how laid back he is. When I'm happy, he's happy. Not a lot of husbands are like that and we very seldom even argue. It's been MONTHS since our last argument. I'm more of a high strung person and my husband keeps me grounded.:) |
I would have to pick my Bf. We are working on almost 3 yrs:D! I am a person who likes suprises, if I get something in the mail, even if I order it, I am super excited. Well my bf and I have been in a long distance relationship for about a year and a half.. its hard. And a lot of times when I come home from work, theres a package at my door, or a e-mail with a confirmation number in it!!! that just makes my day! |
Can I pick someone else? If so, I pick my mom. She is the best mom in the world and I love her so much. She truly is my best friend. She loves me unconditionally, is so giving of herself and gives really good advice. She's been with me through thick and thin and has never turned her back on me. I wouldn't trade her for anything. She recently moved back to our home town and I miss her terribly. I feel lost without her.:( |

I would have to pick my fiance Mike. He is very supportive of me, goes to all of the teddy bear shows with me, carries everything in for me, takes me on surprize road trips, and loves the yorkies as much as I do. What more could I ask for? Sonya |
This is great. I pick our 3 grandkids: Conner is 8 and is my buddy. He's 3rd grade and loves to play computer games & read to me. I'm teaching him line splicing, to navagate lake charts using longitude & latitude and use a GPS. Gracie is 6 and has the most beautiful eyes. She's a "true" Yankee fan in a household of Tigers. Sleeps in her Derek Jeter shirt and her NYY hat & Jeter mit, the only 1st grader in her school with a Yankee backpack. I call her "Tough". She's helped with delivering puppies & is learning how to groom. Isabella is 4, in Preschool and takes balet lessons. She is proficient in drawing circles & lines. Loves Playdough. She is the most like her momma & tries to use that pouty face on me, works on grandpa. They keep me young, they keep me moving & because of them I want to be around a long time. I was in the birthing rooms when all 3 of them were born. It was a gift that I will never forget. |
I would pick my Hubby Jesse. He is very supportive of me. He is a gentlemen always. We have been together for going on 18 yrs and have been married for going on 8 yrs. He is my best friend and I look forward to growing old with him. I am also close to my Mother in law.. My own Mother died a few yrs ago so I am glad I can be close to carole |
So this is a thread that actually made me cry… Two weeks ago I probably would have picked my ex and gushed about him no matter how bad he treated me. Then I realized for the past 4 years I have devoted my whole life to that person often at the expense of not being there for others I care about, and to some extent ruining other relationships…So then I got to thinking about who no matter how ridiculous I have been has always stuck by me…MY BEST FRIEND JILL…We first met living next to one another in our college dorms and have now been friends for 8 years (3 of which we lived together). There are so many reasons I love Jill and admire her so I will try to pick just a sampling of the best. She has always stuck by me no matter what. No matter how ridiculous I have been, how selfish, how out of sorts, or stupid, Jill has always been in my corner. Through the bad relationship with the ex, through law school, etc. She has always made it a point to attend every event that I have had that is important to me. She even sat out in the hot sun at all day for my law school graduation and made sure I got some of the loudest cheers when I walked across the stage. When I was studying for my bar exam she made sure to check on me and offer me snacks and reprieves. She never holds grudges. We have had huge blow outs (mainly when we were roommates) and always been able to talk about them the next day without damaging our friendship. Even though I can be pretty temperamental about things. She never speaks negatively about anyone only things that people do. I wish I had her ability to be this way and be so understanding. She always knows just the right thing to say or suggest to cheer a person up. If you need to complain she will complain (somehow without being too negative right there with you), if you need a fun night out she is there to plan it. Somehow being around her always lifts you up. She is one of the strongest people I know. In the past year she has lost relatives, lost a long term live in relationship, and been seriously ill. She rarely complained, and always had the attitude “if there are things about my life I do not like I am the only one who can change them, so I better get a move on.” Boy, I haven’t even tipped the ice berg. I just really think it is about time I start letting some of the people I care about know how much I appreciate them. Thanks for the thread. |
