BIG YT prayers needed for Highland Yorkie
 
We need lots of those powerful YT prayers going up for Debra. She goes in tomorrow for her MAJOR surgery that she has been on the waiting list for months....darn the Scottish medical system anyway:mad: This will be a long complicated surgery and a long, long recovery period....and she always seems to have major bleeding problems after her surgeries. Please just keep her in your thoughts and prayers over the next several months.

I will be praying for her also!!! Sounds so scarey! Maybe she should be checked for something called "Van Wildebrand Disease" or something close to that spelling-wise. It is a bleeding disorder that can be overlooked, but is VERY important to know when it comes to surgery and many other things. I've read that dogs can even get it. May God watch over her and bless every hand that touches her during her surgery and her recovery. Sounds like a LONG LONG road. I wish her well and pray that her body accepts what she has been waiting so long for with NO complications.

She has EDS (ehlers danlos syndrome) and that is what causes all the bleeding and complications.....and her dr. only knows what he has read and hasn't had experience with EDS....but he has checked with specialists in London.

Kenny was checking this for me and told me of this thread ! I am all packed and ready for admission tomorrow morning with surgery first thing in the afternoon -
.....the 5th of September ! Eeeeeek !:confuse2:
I am 8 hours ahead of all of you in the US....so when you are hearing the birds singing in the morning - I will be under the knife, hee hee. The Butcher will be having a field day !
THANKS so much for all of your prayers - I will need them !
Goodness only knows when I will manage back on here, but as long as I get through it ok, I'll do my best to post to you all again as soon as possible.
Thanks for all the messages of support......
In the meantime take care of yourselves and those lovely Yorkie babies, and I will be thinking of you all !
