ya i start on thursday :( Thursday and Friday are like "orientation" days for Teacher's College..i sure hope it is nothing like the orientation days for first year undergrad.. lol... those were a bit over the top! my scheduale isn't too bad this year... i am in a highschool classroom every friday which i'm super nervous about!!! but thank god those don't start for two weeks!! |
That is a terrible story. My heart goes out to those children. It's crazy how people can be so horrible they will do anything to hurt these kids. I do think we need to be safe I wish my district paid for it though. Like BubblPopElectrc said you pay so much for classes and they don't cover these things and as a first year teacher last year just out of school I was broke and my first check went to fingerprinting/checks and mentor fees. It's really sad how we have to protect kids now a days - teachers are supposed to be people you can trust :mad: |
My classes start tomorrow. Two via internet and one on Satuday. There go my weekends for the next 3 months! Hopefully it will be worth it when I get that little piece of paper to hang on the wall:p |
I can't wait until the first day back - because I don't have to go!!!! I retired in November and this is the first year I'm not in that "OMG I have to go back to work" mode. I'm either going to the beach, the movies or my couch to watch Law & Orders all day on the first day of school, while I gloat and relax my butt off. I do start teaching at a nearby college on Sat. mornings in a couple of weeks, but the only stress involved there is getting up early. I love it. Truthfully, I think teaching is incredible. I loved my job and I loved my kids so much. My life has been so enriched by them, it's unbelievable. So, for all of you who do have to go back as students, or as teachers, I wish you a wonderful year filed with great experiences. |
I just graduated, so no more classes this semester for me! But I work at an elementary school in the office - and school starts tomorrow! |

My two online classes started last Wednesday. And I was excited up until I looked at the course load and I had 3 papers to write for one of my classes. These go until October and then my other two start up. So should be fun! I'm almost done..I keep telling myself that over and over again. LOL!:p |
I think being a teacher would be so fun :) |
