Oh my!....I feel so sad for your father, what devastating news for him.....I can understand your father not wanting help, he is probably trying to hold on to some dignity in all of this, being taken care of is a sign of weakness to some men, he must be a proud, strong man....your mom is going to need a lot of strength and emotional support to handle this...prayers for all of you in this ....

I hope that he will allow Hospice to come. We had hospice for my MIL and they were great. The ladies that came were so compasionate and caring. They helped her with her meds, bathing and just sat and listened to her. It takes a special person to work for Hospice, they are trained how to deal with people who are ill and in terrible pain. Yes, it takes a VERY special person to work for hospice. I am so sorry to hear of all of the pain and suffering in your family. I do pray that your Dad gets a miracle. I also will pray that he will change his mind on the hospice. It is such a hard decision because people consider it acceptance of their fate. My heart goes out to all of you. I will pray for peace that surpasses all understanding for your entire family and especially your Dad.

Oh Melissa, I am so sorry to hear in detail about his Cancer . . I know you mentioned it on your PM :(

I guess all you can do is try and ease the pain and be there for him and your mom :(

:hands: I\'m so sorry to hear about your dad, I don\'t know what I would do if I were in your situation. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers in this difficult time. I hope your dad allows hospice to come out I know it was a great thing when my dear friend Elizabeth had her battle with cancer. Love and Hugs your way. :hands:

I am so sorry to hear about your Dad. I lost my Mom in March and at first she said No to Hospice she wasn\'t ready. A week later she became unresponsive and we put her in Hospice after being told there was no hope and she passed awat 2 hours after being inpatient Hospice. We too felt like mentioning Hospice made it sound like we had given up but each person has to decide for themselves until unable to do so. I will pray for a miracle and pray for your family to have the strength needed to handle this.

I\'m so... sorry to hear about your Dad. :( It\'s very hard on all family members when someone you love is that sick. I will say a prayer for your Dad and for you and your family. My mom had Hospice at the very end at my sister\'s house and they were wonderful. We didn\'t have to pay for any of her morphine or to rent the hospital bed or the equipment. But it is each individuals choice to have them or not. Take Care..... and know that others have been where you are now. I was only 34 when my Dad died of Lung Cancer.

Take Care Of Yourself, As Well As Your Dad And Family.
