OK, I know this REALLY dates me, but, if I start a blog, why would I want random people off the internet to know my whole life story? Can just any old person read it? I'm not sure I'm that trusting...I trust most of you guys, hehe, but not every random person who happens to be surfin' that day. Am I missing something?? |
Cynthia - Yes, random people do just surf right in. I've actually made some good friends that way -- 2 from Chicago, 1 from Nova Scotia, 1 from Boston, a White Sox fan in California, etc. Its like having penpals! I don't write super personal stuff in there. I mostly post pix and write articles about current events, etc. :) |
It's a interesting concept and it's really addictive. I think my blog is more addictive to me than YorkieTalk is. People can browse and click through and read things about you. I click through, too, and read random things about people. I can't really explain it, but sometimes it's interesting if you land on someone that you knew way back in High School or something. That's happened to me a lot of times. Friends from back then, relatives I lost in touch with, et cetera. I don't have a problem with people reading my page because I don't put everything about myself and my daily life on there. I update it maybe 2 times a week, 3-4 times at most. |

I have Xanga too! I started my Xanga acct. at the end of this past school year to keep in touch with my two roommates. We had spent the past 9 months knowing every single detail of each others' lives, how were we supposed to live for 3 MONTHS without each other!?!?!?! So we decided to document as much as we could of our summer. Needless to say, we miss quite a few days, but we're good about updating when we get a chance. Valerie - I would LOVE if you could help me personalize my page - I just go through and change it from one pre-set crap to the next pre-set crap when I get bored with how it looks. :p I'd also love to be able to post pictures of :aimeeyork Dash and things that I'm doing over the summer. Any help would be appreciated!! ;) Oh yeah - and I LOVE the idea of a YT.com webring!!! |
