http://www.whatsthatbug.com/widow.html My grandmother sent this site to me, which I found very helpful.....close to the bottom of the page, there is an entry of a spider with broken red marks on its back (like hearts) and an hourglass on its belly. The spider I caught had squares on its back and an hourglass on its belly. The guy replied that it is a Southern Black Widow. And gave the different colorings/markings of it. They mentioned that some have white too. I think this is what it is. The lady that sent in the photo thought it was the Austrailian RedBack too.....I think I will send in my pictures and see what they say....and mention the other one with the white too. |

OMG!!! I wasn't afraid of spiders UNTIL I read THAT story! OMG OMG!! Please don't read that if gross things freak you out. It's a detailed description of a scientist's symptoms after he allowed a black widow to bite him. It goes into excruciating detail about his pain and suffering. OMG...SOMEBODY GET THE RAID!! :eek: :eek: :eek: |
