No, they are PC games. She was wanting to download some games that were chat room style games and then her Daddy decided that was not appropriate. So, her grandmother sent her an email about The Sims 2, so we checked it out and got it. She had a DS game that she never played (still unopened) - Yoshi's Island, her cousins have been playing their game here and she didn't really like it - that she didn't want. So, we took it back and got the H&M Fashion and Glamour Life add-ons for the Sims 2. Her grandmother gave her money to buy the Sims 2 Deluxe. I haven't played it because I have found it hard to sit there the whole time...I am always thinking of more important things to be doing (ha), but she loves it....or seems to so far. |
Btw...Lori, Where is the Jeep event this weekend or next weekend?? Are you all still going? We are still going to Springfield for the car event/swap meet.........I hope the weather cools down just a little before we go! |
  OMG i am a sims Junkie i will be on it and the next thing i know it's 6 am:eek:  I have almost all the sims 2 expansion packs i love them i just got the seasons one and it is really fun! There are a lot of places to download stuff from to add to the game like clothing, sims, makeup, hair and much more here is one site www.modthesims2.com and www.thesims2.com there are a ton of places. just becasreful if she is young they also have hacks for some very adult things that youger kids should not see. But i swear it's the greatest game ever!! when you are in the game play screen if you hit ctrl+shift+c you will bring up a cheat box in there you type in things like motherlode and it will give you $100,000.00 also things like aging off will stop sims from growing old. if you type in the word help it will give you a ton of cheats to. and of course exit to exit the cheat box. I love to design the houses and just mess around It's soooooo much fun! |

My daughter likes it though.....it is VERY addicting...that is for sure! I wish we found the game for $14.99......I believe it was $29.99 for the Sims2 Deluxe. And I think each add-on game we bought (Glamour Life and H&M Fashion) were $19.99 (I think, I can't remember). |
Thanks for the links and hints.........Katelyn has played it non-stop, it seems. No not really...but she has played it a lot. One game, her character died, another game, she couldn't figure out the driveway (how to install one - I think she didn't have enough money or something), so she quit that game and started a new one where she bought a house already with a driveway. Another game, her car got repoed! She got a money tree that she gets money off of sometimes. She is just learning from playing around....she hasn't been online to look at anything yet....but I told her about the Ctrl+Shft+C, so I am sure she will be using that today! THANKS EVERYONE! |
