Oh Boy Rosie Odonnell is back at it again.... Now it seems she is attacking Paula Abdul. Check the link below for the article: http://intouchweekly.hollywood.com/2...oken_and_n.php I don't understand how miserable her life must be that she has to attack people like that. |
What Rosie says wouldn't make the news if it was nice things....it makes the news because it is unpleasant, and sometimes hurtful, and that makes it interesting.....I don't know why it really matters what she says, she's just a celebrity, nothing more, she's not a reporter....our society thinks all celebrities must be politically correct and knowledgeable on every subject, love everyone and love everything...have no negative opinions....their just actors and singers, nothing more...What Rosie says is just HER opinion....so what...if they would stop putting it on CNN...Hannity and Combs...O'Reilly Factor....Entertainment Tonight...the front page of every paper...etc.,etc.,...it wouldn't get noticed....WE all have opinions and if all our opinions ended up where Rosie's did we probably wouldn't be liked either for what we had to say...When I read Rosie's opinions or anyone else's for that matter I think, "ok I can see that" or I say "well, I don't agree with that" and go on with my day....this stuff really gets blown way out of proportion. Oh I think the media loves to take advantage of celebrity notoriety and make a mountain out of a mole hill. I don't think Rosie's comments were anything we all didn't know already nor something Paula would completely deny about herself anyway. Who cares what Rosie or anyone else thinks about Paula? Not me  |
What she said was a little hurtful (to Paula) and rude but so what? Rosie is entitled to her opinion just like everyone else. I think Rosie can be tacky as times but that won't change anything. I happen to like Paula Abdul ... granted, I think she's a little loopy lolol but I also think that's part of what makes her so cute. :D |

I believe when Rosie speaks about a public person she sees it as a constructive criticism or observation of their out of control behavior, as in being drunk &/or high in public or publicly embarrassing themselves in other ways not as just away to sling mud.....it's pretty much the same way some of us speak about celebrities in the threads about Paris,Britney, Lindsay, Anna Nicole, etc. ...if what some of us spoke hit the news shows and papers like Rosie's remarks do we would be accused of being hateful and mean like her..it's just ours is more private, so to speak...we ALL say negative things about people from time to time, it may not be right but it does happen .... |
One thing about Rosie is that...I don't know why she CARES so much about what is going on in everyone elses lives. I mean - so what? Who cares? BUT - that's Rosie...and she wouldn't be Rosie if she didn't SPEAK HER MIND  :p |

And it's not like the majority of the country disses/thinks the same of her. |
She must have no self confidence if she has to make others feel bad. Just like bullies in school, they often pick on other because they feel so low about themselves and bashing other makes them feel "powerful". Everyone has a right to their opinion and it wouldn't matter who was constantly bashing others I would think it was disrespectful and rude. |
I think Rosie thinks that if she can get her face out there for any reason, she might:confused: get a job???? |
I wonder My name is NEVER EVER in the news. I wonder if I followed Rosie's lead, would I get some coverage, too? If everyone would simply ignore her bad behavior she would have to try something different to get the attention she craves. I don't know much about her 'cause I don't watch TV or follow the celebrity gossip, but I think the poor woman needs to forget Holliwood and get a life. |
Wanna know what I find interesting? Rosie (and other celebs) are misquoted daily, Rosie makes comments or jokes and then the media takes pieces of those comments to make a "statement" and we judge that statement. Interesting also that so many make hurtful comments about Rosie (or other celebs) and yet we forget that is the same reason we criticize someone. Personally I believe the media focuses too much on celebrities and their lives and we the public buy into it. We continue to buy magazines, papers, google them and keep the light shining on them. Lets face it we dont agree with everyone all the time. We all have our own views and opinions based on our life experiences. My wish is that we could debate and discuss without resorting to hateful, nasty comments about anyone. Sometimes we have to agree to disagree. |
"That's Rosie...That's how Rosie is"...it doesn't excuse the behavior. People need to quit making excuses for Rosie. Yesterday she continued, "[Paula Abdul] u r so broken, fragile, pain filled… so needy for love…" No, sounds like Rosie is the pain filled person that's needy for love. Maybe if she had someone to love or had love in return, she wouldn't be so arrogant and nasty!:thumbdown Who is she to judge ANYONE??? JMO |
She just seems like a miserable, whiney person to me. |
i think the news is a place where they will take a 40 min interview and nab 10 words out of context and smear them around ...that being said rosie isnt a new girl she knows this will happen c'mon you dont think rosie attackes people unprevoed MS?? |
