Harry Potter... OK I finished it... Anyone else? Wow. It was really good, although i wish it has been twice as long. Still so many unanswered questions, but I liked the overall outcome. I don't want to spoil it for anyone since most people must still be reading it. I got mine at 4:00 yesterday and read for like 12 hours. I don't leisurely read books, I read them in one sitting like you'd sit down and watch a movie. :D |
I got the book yesterday and finished it. started reading at 9am and finished at midnight, with breaks for lunch and dinner LOL. i liked the book a lot. no dull moments in this one. I think the ending was great. Can't believe the tale is finally over. :( no more books to look forward to, but at least there are the next two movies. |
I don't read them, but for some reason I "have" to know who died. Would someone PM it to me? Silly I know :D |
I LOVED it! It was sad to see beloved characters die, but we all knew that was coming. :( I feel that there were many things left unanswered and unexplained, but she did an AMAZING job overall!! Too bad there isn't another book to look forward to this time. :( |
Did anyone else cry through the last 100 pages or so? I think the final fight scene will be awesome in the movie. Also, I was disappointed it didn't have as many funny/nice moments as the other books. I know they were constantly on the run, but maybe at the end. I just felt like all the characters we love were kind of left out. Yes, they all helped at the end, but I would have liked more. A few hundred more pages would have been OK by me. Also, this book was much more adult than the others. Granted, the trio is 17, and I personally liked it, but I feel bad for the kids trying to read this book. I think they might struggle with the writing. |
Mrs. Weasley's language at the very end made me LOL. |

my bf is reading it, he just got it today  He finished the one before that in like 1 1/2 day. |
I liked most of it but I did not like the Epilogue at all! It was a let down for me. I just feel that we could of gotten more then 7 pages of what they were up to in the past 19 years. Like what occupation they all have:confused: |
It was so sad - albus severus! I cried the whole way through the end. My furbaby Teddy now has been renamed Teddy Remus Lupin! |
I got mine today at noon, and just finished a few minutes ago. I couldn't put it down. I am curious as to what questions you felt where left unanswered???? I felt that everything was covered. I was VERY impressed with the last book and how it ended, happy with it, but sad that there are no more books to come... BUT I am mostly happy with how it worked out for Severus Snape!! |
I'm not into the Harry Potter thing, but my mom and brother are obsessed with it. I went online and found out who died, which is pretty lame because I'm planning on reading the series when I finish all my reading for school. I saw the last movie, and that inspired me. :p |

I had a brain injury 8 yrs ago. My comprehension level is age 9-12. Reading a book was a thing of the past for me. A couple of years ago (when book 5 came out) my nephew handed me book 1 and said to try and read this. I read it and understood it and loved it. I read the next 4 in a month. Ever since I can't wait for the next book. I have another 150 pages to go & i'll get through that today. |

I felt like there were some unanswered questions. I wanted to know their occupations, If Neville is a professor does that mean he isn't married and doesn't have a family b/c if so his family name will die out. What about the Dursleys? Who was the cousin Teddy Lupin was snogging? How is George coping? And my little brother (10 years old) is really concerned that Weasley's Wizard Weezes could not continue on with the loss the family sustained. What happened to Kreacher? did he survive the fight and avenge Regelus? What is Percey's profession - he obviously works for Hogwarts, but doing what? I just feel like I wanted more at the end!! Don't get me wrong I really loved the book I just wanted some more info! |

Hmmm...I thought I'd kept up with everything she's said would be in the book--I didn't see where she'd left any of them out. But yes, I thought parts were extremely sad. I rarely cry at any movies or things like that, but there were parts of the book where I had to put it down and cried like a baby. |
Will someone PM me who dies! |

Well, I just finished..it's hard reading for class and then reading this at the same time. I must say, I am extremely happy with the way it turned out:thumbup: And like most, I cried my eyes out through a lot of it! I am so sad about those who died..I wish there could be another book!!! Either way, I couldn't be happier..I loved it! |
I'm curious the spoiler as well... :D |
I too wondered what profession Harry went into. I always thought he would take over Hogwarts or work for the Ministry. |
Finally Finished!!! |
You know... I feel SOOO bad for Snape... Seriously, the poor man, to love Lilly so much but to depise Harry because of James! I loved reading the first two memories from him when he was friends with Lilly before going to Hogwarts... so cute and such a different image of him... :( My heart skipped a beat at the bit where Ron and Hermione dropped the teeth and kissed... it\'s been SO long waited for! I think the bit where Harry meets Dumbledore was too strange, it explained everything and cleared all the unanswered questions up but it just... I dunno, just didn\'t seem to fit in quiet right. |
Personally I thought she covered everything very well. And it ended the way I was hoping for so I am happy. I liked Mrs. Weasley\'s Wording at the end also. I also did a lot of crying in this one near the end. But over all I loved the book. The better not cut a lot of it when they make the movie or I for one will be very disappointed. |
Someone told me that they heard that they weren\'t going to make the last 2 movies because the cast didn\'t want to return. I don\'t know if it\'s true or not but unless they film them right now back to back like they did pirates i\'m not sure how they\'ll pull it off with the kids growing up in real life like they are. ??? I\'m curious what will come of it. It would be nice to complete the series but I agree they need to not cut it off like the last movie. |
