What things in MOVIES Triggers your 'Fear' Factor ? I was just watching the beginning of the Posiden Adventure and thought - I'd LOVE to try a cruise but MONSTER WAVES scare me - I grew up on the beach and snuck in to see a real hurricane up close and personal when I was a teen and will forever remember the HUGE waves that we thought were going to kill us :eek: - (yes - it was one of my dumber moves) LOL What triggers your fears when you watch movies ?? my other one is those movies where the Killer is IN the house calling the 'victim' who doesn't know they're there - those creep me out |
Clowns...they're always creepy in the movies. |

That is so funny! We went to see the Poseidon in Imax the day after we returned from our Alaska cruise. On our cruise about half of the passengers got sick because the seas were pretty rough. The first couple of nights the dinner dining room was only half full. We wore the accupressure arm bands and did not get sick. It was a fun movie but I am glad I saw it after the cruise and not before. I am scared of any movie with demonic phenomena. |
I noticed the The Panic Room was on TV Friday, and I recorded it so that I could watch it last night. However, I just couldn't watch it. I had to erase it. I got to the part where the guys took a hose and put gas into the room, and that was it!:eek: |
Weird eyes! Remember the little girl's white eyes in the Exorcist? That movie freaked me out and to this day I won't watch it. I was pregnant when it came out and I thought "Oh God, I've marked my baby!":p by looking at those eyes. |
Jaws - I saw this as a young kid 6, 7, 8 somewhere around there. After that I was afraid in the bath. To this day I don't like to close my eyes in the shower. I'm the fastest hair washer in the west. :D I don't like to swim either. It's just been recently that I will get into a pool, i always felt bad because my kids always wanted me to get in and I wouldn't. I totally panic if I go under water. This is either from Jaws or something that happened to me as a baby, but my mom insists the baby incident didn't happen although I remember it. How I would recall it I don't know but..... |

I can't watch any scarey movie at all, they give me bad nightmares. I'm a big baby I know , but I seem to live the movies in my sleep. My best friend hates it cause I won't go to the movies with her, she loves scarey horror movies. |

Well, when I was 13 I had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled, I was relaxing in the van while my Mom went into the hospital to get my meds and when I lifted my head and opened my eyes there was a group of 9 clowns staring at me through the window :eek: They were with the Shriner's group going into the children's ward of the hospital. V, I'm with you. Those movies where the killer is calling their victim? gives me the CREEPS. anything with clowns scares the crap out of me. I work with the Haunted River Walk here in town every year. They have this very disturbing clown mask and it scares EVERYONE. This past year, my brother was the clown. and one morning I woke up to the clown's head sitting next to me on my bed. I also hate anything with ghosts. I'm convinced my that room is haunted. and also those little kid voices singing songs? terrifying. I used to have this giant horse in my room, and when you squeezed it's ear, a little girl voice sang "Oh give me a home, where the buffalo roam..." and so one time, we had an AWFUL storm, and the power went out. So I was sitting in my room in the dark. and suddenly I hear "Oh give me a home...where the buffalo roam." I almost died. It took me 10 minutes to realize it was my horse. The next day it went out in the garbage. :P |
Ghosts... Brrrrr I can't and won't watch ghost movies! Even when I think about the very few I watched, I put the covers over my head. And I'll put Trixie on top of the covers so she can detect them :D (I'm such a baby) |

I wonder what it is but I'm scared of clowns also. We all must have had something tramatic happen in our childhood that involved them....lol! I also am scared to death of spiders! OMG....that one movie....Aracnaphobia! |

I watched a movie last week...I think it was when a stranger calls..or something like that...when the girl was babysitting and had the called traced and the call was coming from the inside of the house. Scared the sh.. out of me! And those movies where things jump out at you!!:eek: I nearly jump out of my skin but, the ones that really bother me are the ones with torture...Like Hostel...that was horrible. |
I can watch any films that I know are not real...like...Example "The Monster that ate Chicago" , etc.. But, I cannot watch anything that I know can really happen. I know the movie Villette is talking about because, even though its an old movie and I saw years ago, I can still remember that scene where the girl is babysitting, its late at night and she keeps getting phones calls saying " I'm watching you" she calls the police and the police trace the call and call her back frantic, telling her "GET OUT OF THE HOUSE" because the calls where coming from inside the house... Oh my god !! you couldn't pay me to stay home alone at night for a very, very, long time. |

Ok ya guyz... have you watched ummm whats it calleedd... oh yeah The Texas Chainsaw Massacre??? Well imagine being in the middle of no where... and going to ask for help and then finding trouble... (like getting killed, getting locked up ina creepy basemnt, getting tourtured) no thanks! i would never like to be stranded anywhere especially... if its all abandoned!!! ahhh! like the Wax Museum everyone was made outta wax!:eek: |

I typically don't get frightened over much but.... (there's always a but).... the only time I can recall getting very uncomfortable in my seat was when we where at a huge indoor theater & it was showing one of those movies where it's as if your a bird or airplane & it swoops over a cliff edge or comes waaaayyy to close to colliding w/ a canyon wall....frightening, yet exhilarating at the same time ... |
I have tooons of things in movies that scare me, lol. Evil Children, Evil Animals (think pet cemetary), Clowns, Floods, Earthquakes, (Any Natural Disasters), Gruesome things like Saw, Hostel, ect |
