When you are on itunes, make sure you have checked all the songs you want to transfer to the ipod. At the top there are tabs like summary/music/podcast/contact. go to the music tab and make sure sync all songs is checked. Hope this helps. |

Save all of your purchased songs to a separate place on your hard drive, or better yet, back them up on a CD. Then, copy them from the CD to the IPOD. This usually works. You can use ITunes to do the copying or just use My Computer and copy the contents of the folders from the CD to the IPOD |
Will the song play on the ipod from the purchased list? Just not from the playlist?Or from neither |
this happened to me too, make sure your ipod has authorization to play purchased songs from itunes. |

and i "think" i authorized my ipod.. when i first plugged it in it asked a bunch of questions that i answered!! |
Did you register it online? Just grasping here ... never had problems with songs I purchased before! Someone suggested the latest updates ... do you have those? It can make a difference. |

I never had any problems. My iPod plays music from my CDs and from my iTunes. All of my suggestions have already been listed so I'm not sure what else you can do but good luck. |
