And i'm pretty sure Chihuahuas were not always THAT expensive...i have seen Chi's advertised for £2,000 is that not just a little ridiculous? Yorkies are also more expensive than they were a few years ago...i saw a Yorkie advertised recently for £800!
What annoys me most is you see either Britney or Paris on the red carpet with a small pup under their arm..not the best place to parade a little puppy...it must be terrified with all the crowds, noise and flashing lights!
I just don't think they always put their babies first..but thats just my opinion...i could be wrong.
I too have always had Yorkies in the family ever since i was a child, they are a wonderful breed to have around. | Even earning my own money I still couldn't afford to buy one... Majority of parents aren't going to buy a Yorkie for their kid just because they whine about wanting one!
I have seen a ridiculas amount of puppies of any breed advertised for that amount of money... Chi's, Yorkies, Maltease, xbreeds even... but I have ONLY ever seen dogs out of price ranges that are normal on the 'net. When you look at how much our friends in the US are paying for a puppy and then the £800 you quoted, that seems normal enough to me.
I take Gypsy to places that are busy and noisey, I pick her up and carry her where there is a large crowd so she doesn't get stood on and she just takes it all in her stride. The younger a pup is aclimatised to things the more he is able to deal with it in later life. Works the same with dogs, cats, people, anything... you get used to something young and it doesn't bother you as you get older. |
