Ignorant Emails
 

Hi everyone, yesterday I was sent an ignorant email from someone on yorkietalk. I have no idea who this person is or why they would think the things that they do. At first I had no idea how this person could have gotten my email address, but then I realized it was probably very simple. When I first joined yorkietalk I was very excited to meet people that loved their furbabies as much as I do. My furbabies mean the world to me and until now this place has always been very enjoyable. I've always loved posting pictures and sharing my babies with all of you. I'm truly sorry if anyone has ever felt I posted too many. My camera is always by my side snapping a picture of my babies doing something. This is just the type of person I am. I want to remember everything. ;)

Most of you know who my girls are and that I have a pekingese named Snoot. Yes, Pia is quite the small yorkie but what most of you don't know is the lies and hell her breeder put us through. Lets just say I thought Pia was a 4 lb. dog and this definately was not the case. I wouldn't trade Pia in for the world, but it was never my intentions to buy such a small furbaby. I know many love and want the tiny yorkies and that is completely your business, but I was honestly looking for another yorkie around Trixie's size. She's a good 4 1/2 lbs. and this happens to be my favorite size. Regardless, I love all yorkies no matter what their size is. I love seeing all the differen't colors and sizes here on yorkietalk. I'm going on about size because this is what I was emailed about.

I am not one to discuss the size of my babies unless I am asked. Sometimes I have even ignored these questions because I didn't want people to think I was some size freak about my dogs. Why "some" people are so obsessed with this breed is beyond me. I've had Snoot for over 12 years and have never been asked his weight and his measurements. The pm's that I recieve about Pia and now Paisley's size truly amaze me. I have to wonder what goes through "some" people's head when they're typing.

I've debated on posting something about this, but I wanted this person to see that I am not going to be run off here because of their dumb comments. Brooke, (Stedman's mommy) gave me the idea to post a pic of Pia on a scale to shut this person up. Thank you Brooke......:D At first we laughed about this, but then the more we discussed it, I thought it was a good idea. Please don't think I'm being anal by the pics posted, but I want this person to see I have no reason to lie about Pia's size. What in the world would I get out of her being so tiny???? I would do just about anything to have her gain some weight. However, she isn't skinny and her weight fits with her frame. She actually has a nice round belly on her and LOVES to eat. :p

The following is what I was sent:

"Dina I am a fellow yorkie yakker and see pea all the time on there. Is she really the size claimed? I do not think she is for that seems tiny for her age. She is over one year right? She is not a pupy? I think she is very beutiful just dont believe her size. Do you lie about her? Is she younger then you say to make her look smaller? Many on yorkietalk are crazy over her but while talking with girls we dont think she is the size you say. Probably bigger. That would be way small.Could I know your breeder? Ok just my opinion.

Thank you karen for such an ignorant email. I truly feel bad that you have nothing better to do then to sit around and wonder about Pia's size. Please note, her name is Pia not Pea and better yet, you can call her Princess Pia. Oh and she was born April 12, 2005. If you've seen a puppy with the hair that Pia has, please post a picture because I would love to see that. She's well over two years old and again, why would I need to lie about something so dumb. You have some nerve to ask for her breeder's information, LOL. What a joke!!! Hope you enjoy the pictures....:)

I am sorry you received that. I dont know what is up. We seem to have alot of weird people coming out of the woodwork here

WOW, not another one!!!...I for one am glad you can see this for what it is....mean, hateful, spiteful, & just plain evil.....I'm also glad you posted the e-mail, now this person is out in the open,even if some of us don't know exactly who it is, the public display of their e-mail may be recognized by others...it's getting creepy knowing that there are people on here w/ evil intent masquerading around on here as a concerned friend when they clearly are not...

This is crazy. What is wrong with people lately. My guess is she is an unhapp , jealous person. She is a doll!!

OMG - it's a sad petty little person that would do that - and you don't need to give them the time of day.

Good grief - what is wrong with people that they think it's any of their business WHAT our dogs weigh ? That email had me laughing - sorry - because it's really not funny... but WHAT AN IDIOT.

Thanks everyone....:) I was shocked by the email, but in some ways I wasn't. I've had some really strange pm's sent to me asking about Pia. I've even had someone ask me to measure her tail. :rolleyes: Oh well, I just hope that all this belittling that's going on soon stops. I guess there will always be someone that enjoys starting trouble. :thumbdown

Jeez. Is this the same nut that has been bothering others?? They have to be mentally unstable...or total morons. Hard to decide which is worse. People seem to be picking on the very popular members. It's got to be jealousy. Don't let a few kooks chase anyone away and ruin it for all of us. You and your babies are precious...ignore the nutball! :D

What the heck is going on around here lately, my sis finely got her baby boy yesterday and what a doll he is, i so wanted her to join yt, have told her so many things about this site, but gesssh , im begining to think twice with all the bad negativity thats been happening lately, dina iam sorry some one was so rude to you:mad: your little pia is so beautiful, sounds like pure jeaoulsie to me.

HAHAHA, no please laugh because I certainly did......:D I was upset for an entire minute and then I had to laugh. :p I wish you could see the reply I sent back, LOL. HINT, it included a pic of Pia's tooshie and a common phrase that included, " kiss her.........:D" I hate being like that, but this size crap about these dogs is enough already. :thumbdown

WHY on Earth would you have to lie about her size!?:confused: I have a 2 1/2 pound little guy who *should* have been bigger...trust me, it's nothing to brag about!:(

The person just sounds like she wants a dog just like yours. Judging from that person's spelling she must be very young (10 maybe) or have the mentality of a very young person. Maybe the person didn't know any better? At least I hope this is the case :/

This is Chanel with her "BITE ME" shirt on that i made ...she's doing something ummmm....personal ...but I think it says it ALL ...hehe

I made a MATCHING Shirt for me that says "BITE ME TOO" :D :D it was cause of my husband that I made them 4 years ago as a joke .... Before he got sick when he saw us wearing our matching shirts - the first thing out of his mouth was 'What'd I do now ?" :D :D

what is going on here with people on YT? i have to wonder if this is the same person who is harassing everyone. They have nothing better to do then stir up trouble and bother other people. I'm glad you found the humor in it and are not letting it bother you. I'd just shrug it out and figure them for an idiot. Based on all the other stuff that's been going on i can't see this email coming from a child or someone with a disability.

Oh for Pete's sake!!!!!!!!!!! What is going on with the board lately?! What a rude and completely uncalled for email! *Sigh*...I am so sad that these weird things are happening to people. What in the world did this person think that she and "her girls" (whatever that means) would gain from harassing you??!! I just do not see the enjoyment in this. :confused: You didn't have anything to prove to that person, but I guess now she can see it with her own eyes. You should some how figure out how to block her emails from coming to you. I don't like that people are getting others personal info and using it to hurt them. :(

I recently watched a silly video called "Mean Girls". What is going on with the pm's and emails so much reminds me of the silliness that was going on in that video.

If I am not terribly mistaken, there are ways to discover where emails come from. I think we need to get the really techky people here to work finding out the identity of the person(s) wreaking havoc with the members on thsi site and at the very least expose them.

I told my hubby a little about what has been happening on here lately and he actually said something like what you are suggesting. Surely there has to be a way to figure it out....

I have no idea if I can track this person down or not. They sent me an email from a yahoo account. I would assume they just created this account to email me and it isn't their personal one. I was talking with my friend who is really good with stuff like this, and he said contacting my internet provider would be the best idea. However, since it did come from a yahoo account, the chances of it being traced are slim to none. I don't believe an IP address could be traced this way. I'm not positive about this, and I'm definately looking into it. :)

I've pretty much had it with the drama on YT. I used to come here to get away from the drama that sometimes surrounded me outside of YT and now I have to get off my computer to "breathe". I don't know what's going on. But I have an idea. None of these people have had the "nerve" to post on here. Now, we have been known to go after scammers and try to destroy their ploys against innocent people. This email is a perfect example of the all too notorious bad grammar and disoriented thoughts. Some of these scammers have come on here so they know the lingo as far as yorkie yakker and how all of us stick behind eachother. I didn't want to put it out there. But guys. Let's Ignore. I know it's hard. There have been so many posts where I am half done with my reply and discard it altogether because of this very theory. Guys, again, this is just a theory. But I still think that whether it's someone in or outside of our little community, we should just ignore and move on to the next thread. There are too many of us and we've been here too long to let these few drive us away. Just a thought. Dina_Nichole, didn't mean to hog your thread.

I'm sorry but that email was hilarious! It is unbelievable that someone spent time thinking and discussing the size of another person's dog and then actually took the time to set up an email account to write an email to let you know about it. Wow, this person must have a very exciting life!:D

I don't know what's going on around here lately either but I love your posts and love looking at pictures of you beautiful babies and I'm glad you aren't letting some pathetic stranger stop you. The picture on the scale was perfect. Now maybe this person can get Pia out of her mind and have some peace!:rolleyes:

Apparently the ignorance being displayed on YT as of late, has reached epidemic proportions.

However, there is a cure for this. It is called "education."

So for all of you ignorant posters, I prescribe a high dose of education ASAP.

Wow, Dina I am so sorry. What is up with people lately? The pettiness and back-stabbing is mind baffling. You can in fact trace this person through their IP address to find out who they are, but it's not full proof. If the person is comp savvy, which I doubt they are, they can change it.

Anywho, I digress; I agree that ignoring is sometimes the best way to go. If they know they are getting to you it can add more fuel to the fire. I had no idea YT had an ignore button until recently and I'm making quite good use of it.

I'm so sorry this happened to you. I guess chalk it up to jealousy. I guess to some the smaller the Yorkie the bigger the status symbol. I myself don't understand this theory because I do agree that the smaller they are the more work they are. As said previously, it is so nothing to brag about.

Oh and please don't stop posting pictures of your babies. I love seeing pictures of them and in my opinion you are not posting enough, lol.

I'm so glad that you're able to laugh it off :) LOL Once you think about it, it really is hysterical that someone is so preoccupied with something as minute as that. LOL!

I think that whoever sent you that e-mail is really a sad person to sit around and "talk" with the others about the size of your baby. I think that what you wrote back to her (or him) was so funny. I also wonder like someone else mentioned if this could be the notorious idiot that has been banned. I also wonder if it could be the same person that e-mailed Brooke's breeder....:confused:
