Would anyone PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be willing to get me 2 cans of boiled peanuts???!!

I will pay for both cans and the shipping to get them to me...

PLEASE!! I am seriously so hungry for them I can totally taste them smell them...need them...please!! :rolleyes:

Boiled peanuts are just that..peanuts that have been boiled..and they are delicious! and they are a southern treat and they are not available up here.

Now ain't that the best way?? because they are FRESH!!

My dad used to get them at roadside stands freshly cooked and in a papersack and we would eat them and they would still be warm!! LOVED IT! :thumbup:

I want to learn to make them myself!!

Ha ha ha...ours doesn't. There's a Flea Market down the road and for as long as I can remember, there has been an old man there...I SWEAR he has to be at least 100!...that wears his overalls and makes boiled peanuts...:p

I just saw this thread -- I'll be more than happy to send you a couple of cans of boiled peanuts.

Next time I find some good green peanuts I'll buy some and send them to you. That way you could boil them up and have them FRESH and HOT! You know, Georgia isn't that far.....

LOL! IT's definitely an acquired taste! Our family is originally from N. Y. and we bought some from a roadside vendor when we first came down here. We all tried them and spit them out! The texture was 'weird' and scary! LOL! Now, many years later, I like them a lot!

Ok so since you have the Yorkie Yummies treat club, can I sign up for the Mommie yummies treat club and get boiled peanuts every 4 weeks??!! LOLOL

Well, I definitely WANT to go South for a visit...I have family in Gulf Shores Alabama and I miss Roberstdale Alabama something terrible!!!

Several places I would have to stop on the way tho...my grandparents are in Paris Tennesse, where dh and I formerly lived, and I could just go there for a week....if we dont' take any luggage I can fill the back up with boiled peanuts LOLOL

No joke, you should see the looks I get when I ask the stores up here "will you check into getting boiled peanuts in stock" they are like what?!! get what?? and then i get embarrassed and mumble nevermind...lolol

Knowing how addictive "crack" is I am more than flattered when my VERY WHOLESOME Yorkie Yummies are referred to as Yorkie Crack. I even considered changing the name to Canine Crack -- but my dear husband cautioned me against it. You see -- the drug patrol dudes have high tech computer programs that pickup on certain words and phrases. I just don't want the FBI knocking on my door with search warrants..... :lol tears

I think it would of been a good name for them from the reviews I've read! I think Gypsy is missing out on these treats!

That's so funny - I was in Baltimore a couple of years ago with a group I work for. One of my friends search high and low for grits at breakfast. Everyone at the breakfast bar cracked up and begged her to ask for them again just so they could hear her talk.

We also discovered that you can't get fried shrimp there either. Or sweet tea!

And I thought Maryland was Southern:eek:

I love grits!! I buy the quaker brand and fix em up with fried eggs mixed in for the kiddos. It is DELICIOUS!! some butter and salt and YUM!!

I know other people like grits with milk and sugar, but not me!

Best breakfast I have ever had was steak, eggs, grits, OJ, toast, fried ham, hashbrowns and sausage. YUM

Do you need some stone ground grits in your "care package?" How about a can of collard greens????? Can you get fatback?

Fatback????? Same as sowbelly, white bacon, streak-o-lean.....

Ok.... we need to get serious with this shopping thing..... I will ship flatrate so I might as well pack it full --

2 cans boiled peanuts

5 lbs. stone ground grits (they only come in yellow grits, not white)
