drugstore must haves If you're like me, Sephora is like a toy store but there are some things from drugstores that I couldn't live without. One of my favorites for summer time is Neutrogena body oil. It's way too heavy on it's own but I mix it 50/50 with body lotion and use it on my legs when I'm wearing shorts, dresses or skirts. It gives my legs a little sheen and makes my tan pop. I also love the scent- it reminds me of the beach. Another of my drugstore loves is L'Oreal Voluminous mascara. I've tried most of the higher end brands but always end up back with Voluminous. I haven't tried DiorShow though and I keep hearing really things about it so that could change. Okay, time to share- what are your can't live without drugstore items? |
I buy all of my skin products from the drugstore. Purpose gentle cleansing facial wash, Neutrogena Moisturizer for night and Purpose SPF 15+Moisturizer for the day. Jergan's body lotion. Dove Deoderant, Dial body wash. I could go on and on!!!! |

I LOVE the voluminous mascara, too. I have sensitive/allergy-prone eyes, so I can't use all kinds of stuff on my eyes and the voluminous mascara doesn't make my eyes itch. I already have longer/thicker eyelashes so I really like the way the voluminous mascara makes my eyes look. I think it might be the brush because I've tried other lengthening/thickening mascaras and they didn't make my lashes look like the voluminous mascara does. |
me too! Voluminous mascara is the best.....the only one I can wear with contacts that doesn't flake and cause my eyes to itch and water. I'm a CVS junkie....read the ad every week and go buy all my items that are on sale. |
Physician's Formula bronzer. Once my face gets some sun, I don't even bother with foundation for the rest of the season. It's brush on and go!:) |
I use Avon products mostly and love the Anew face creams. I use Jergens Ultra Healing Extra Dry Skin Moisturizer on my feet, legs, hand and arms. As for mascara, I bounce around, always searching for that special one, but still haven't found it. :) I don't like useing it often since it tends to burn my eyes. |
I'm an Arbonne girl and use their mascara (best I've ever found - anywhere), all the face products, shampoo and body wash. The only thing I don't care for is the body lotion. My drugstore products are Banana Boat Aloe After Sun Lotion and The Deodorant Crystal Mist Spray!!!! |
I love these threads! Right now I'm only using drug store hair products, but no beauty products right now. But I may have to try that mascara! |
I think I need to try that Mascera, too!!!!!! Right now I use Loreal Panoramic Curl mascera, which I love. It lengthens and separates. Adequate separation is my big concern. How well does this Voluminous mascera separate? |
I wouldn't say Voluminous is the best seperator but it's not terribly clumpy either. It adds great volume though. Taking my own thread OT for just a quick second:rolleyes: - have any of y'all used DiorShow mascara? I'm so tempted to try it but if Voluminous is just as good I don't want to waste the money. |

Oh Oh- just thought of another good drugstore find. My Grandma told me about this one. I am constantly fighting a battle with dry feet and Gold Bond Ultimate Healing is the very best I've used. I have seriously tried every cream and foot lotion under the sun and this works the best. Burts Bees Coconut foot cream is pretty good and it smells fabulous but I put lotion on my feet and then socks and it was actually staining my socks yellow- um yuck! The Gold Bond actually works better anyway. |

Yeah, the licking. They think I'm rubbing dog treats on my feet just for them. I just have to stay under the covers until they forget about it. When I was using the Burt's Bees it smelled so good I almost felt guilty like I was teasing them.:p |

Yes it definitely has to be the sesame scented. Bobby Brown make a perfume called Beach. Guess what it smells exactly like? Neutrogena Sesame! Exactly! |

I am also a CVS junkie--when I changed teaching postions last year (in another town), I transferred all my prescriptions there. It is only a few blocks away from the school and very easy access. They also have a 24-hour pharmacy. I love that! I am always getting "money-off" coupons everytime I refill prescriptions! It is great! If you really watch their circulars, you can get some great buys. And they always have the cutest seasonal items for me to use at school. During this past school year, I bought a 12 pack of coke products for $1.99 a pack--no limit, so I bought lots of them for us to drink at school! |

I didn't know that.... I may have to check it out. You know, one morning sitting in my desk at school, a friend walked by and I caught a whiff of her lotion or whatever and asked her what it was and she told me about the Neutrogena oil. I loved it so much, I tried it. Then I loved how it felt so much and the fact that it's so much easier to moisturize quickly before completely getting out of the shower, that I've used it ever since. Seriously, 20 years! It's not so strong or anything that it interferes with your perfume though. |

CVS has a 100% no ?'s asked policy on returns of any makeup...if you don't like the color or the quality it can be returned...I did it for a bottle of foundation...it turned out I didn't like the shade, so I returned it opened & used....it makes it easier to try new products but it removes the risk....i haven't been there in a while so check if it's still in effect ... |
I've been using Aveeno lotion for years and really like it but think I may try out the Nutragena Oil. Used to use baby oil while still in the shower too but got a way from that at some point. Thanks for the tips. |

Does the Neutrogena Oil make you oily??? Do you continue to dry off after you put it on or do you let yourself just air dry? Give me the rundown! |
Ok girls....I made my list and I'm heading to Walgreens after work ;) I'm going to try it all ! |

Hope you like it! |
