Well here in Krum, TX we have had weeks of rain so couldn't go out much because of mud. Now we have had a couple of days with no or little rain and heat in the 90's with humidity probably in the 90's so don't go out much. We just had a little front move thru and dropped the temps. I sat out on the front porch with Murfee and I'll be darned if I didn't get cold:confused: My husband and son thought I was nuts. Oh well, the wonders of TX weather. Patty |
In Georgia, we have a saying "It's not the heat, it's the humidity that kills you" and it's so true! It's been in the mid to high 90's here and the humidity is so high it's like swimming thru air when you go outside. The babies go outside during the day for pee pee breaks, but when I get off work I wait until the sun goes down ( starts around 8:30) and then take them outside for a long play time. I also have a water bowl outside and keep it filled when they're out there so they don't overheat. I'm ready for winter:) Usually averages 55 to 60 degrees here with really cold snaps that last a couple of days during winter here. |
It's been in the 90's here & no rain for weeks :2omg: ...I've had to water my flower pots twice a day....grass is brown & crunchy....I have to put ice in the dogs bowls so I went through a large bag of ice in a few days... Trying to cook all meals on the grill so I don't have to fire up the stove (note to self, don't try bacon again) ..... Haven't had a decent diet pop in weeks...the darn ice melts faster than I drink, it's a little gross drinking brown water....I'm sick of the cup sweating every time I set it down... My make up melted & slid off my face...burned my feet trying to walk across the wooden deck....every time sweat runs down my back I think it's a bug up there & start flipping my shirt up & down... Other than that it's been a pretty nice summer..... |
