:eyetearss V, I needed that laugh today. Thanks |
That was funny! We have been eating tomato sandwiches (our FAV) for several weeks now. When they making, we go into withdrawals! They are not worth buying in the grocery after having homegrown ones! Fried green tomatoes?!?! We are having them tomorrow night! I have some ready, but I had already planned on doing spaghetti and homemade meatballs and eggplant parmesan tonight. Fresh eggplant just picked from the garden only 30 minutes ago! YUMMY! It is only hubby and me, so I will call my brother to stop by and get 1/2. Once I start cooking, I cook BIG!!!! |

I envy you. That's what I miss most about leaving NJ is the Jersey tomatoes. Tomato sandwiches were always my favorite or eating them right out of the fields at my uncle's farm. Ummmmmmmmmmmm they were the best and still are when I can get them. Fried green tomates are my second favorite memory of NJ. My grandmother made them heavenly. Your menu sounds wonderful. You sound like a great cook. |

I heard about backyard breeders...... |
OMG...are you purposly breeding for those tinies or are some of them just smaller than normal? What do you call those tiny tomatoes? Cherry? You can see the quality is evident and you have put some hard work into your champion tomatoes. Do you eat them, sell them, or are you just growing them to get your next champion? |
That was great!!! |
