Anyone doing "nothing" today like I am? We had no plans today for the 4th. Plus its raining here. Its a yucky day. Anyone else have no plans for today? |
No plans here either. We're in central Indiana, but on the east side there are tornado watches out. Some possible severe storms are possible here later this evening. My mother is coming out (so she doesn't have to be alone) and I think we'll just cook some hamburgers and pork burgers on the grill. That'll be about it. Oh, if it's not raining after dark, the boys may shoot off some fireworks. |

I think your plans sound better!!! I would rather just take a long, long nap and then watch a good movie. It makes me sad that we use to do so much and have so many plans either with family or friends...and now...nothing. BORING!!!! |
I'm not doing anything today...I came down with pneumonia like symptoms (according to my dr.) so I've just been hanging out at home resting and getting better. Hopefully my bf will make it home sooner than later so I have some company. |

We also are doing nothing. Right now we are all taking a rest. I think we may cook hamburgers after while and maybe the kids and grandkids are going to shoot of fireworks. I will probably be keeping Murfee company under the bed:D |
Nothing special here, watched a couple movies and plan to put some chicken on the grill later. Heck, I'm still in my pj's:embar: |
Was suppose to go to the beach, but its been rainy and no sun:( so i just went grocery shopping, guess everyone decided to do the same, it was packed:rolleyes: now were cooking beer brats:D |

We're not doing much. My husband finished the deck today and I've been cleaning the house because the "Golden Girls" (my three aunts) along with the rest of the family are coming for a bbq on Friday. I keep telling myself that I won't worry about the house - that it looks fine, but I keep finding something that needs cleaning or doing. The neighborhood kids were shooting off fireworks last night, and I'm sure they will be doing it tonight (if it doesn't rain). Conner barked at them but was not afraid. I'm glad because they are forecasting thunderstorms for tomorrow and, hopefully, he won't be afraid. He was when he was a puppy. |
Sad for me too, kinda of, but I did enjoy laying around today. We used to have big plans with friends and family, BUT, not anymore. |
I getting caught up on laundry:p My son will be home later this evening and I thought I'd get some stuff done around the house. The sun is shining and it's HOT here so I'll be inside:) |
Nothing going on at my house either. Hubby went for a ride on his Harley...I do not ride, so here I am...on YT. I'm just happy to have a day off of work. But it's kind of sad and lonely, when my mom and dad were alive the 4th was a big deal...they lived right across the street from where our towns fireworks were set off, so it was a big family and friends get together...but that was then and this is now. The first few years without them, I would go watch the fireworks and cry...now I just avoid it...it's too hard...I miss them terribly. Hope everyone here has a safe 4th of July!!! |
The 4th is usually a big deal for us, but we hung out with friends and floated down the river on Sat....so today is kinda a nothing day. I actually just took my husband to the airport (he commutes from Texas to Indiana) so he went back today, to be ready for work tomorrow. Also, it is just pouring down rain here!! Good nap and movie weather...that is what is on my agenda for the rest of the day. :usaheart: :usastar: :rain: |

It's HOT here today...I went to a parade this morning, but it was really hot and humid, so we didn't stay long. I helped a friend paint her dining room table & upholster her dining room chairs this afternoon. I think we're going to go downtown and have dinner at a brewery, and then watch fireworks somewhere tonight! |
Same here in San Antonio, TX, I don’t even know why we had today off because it is also raining here today. You can’t go and see any fireworks or anything on a day like today. |
I had planned on catching up here on YT. I have been thrown off the internet via Verizon DSL since 12:00pm just getting back on YT. Yt is sooooooooo slow now that I'm going to take a hot bath. pour a glass of wine and chill watching TV. I can't stand the stress of trying to enjoy this site any longer. Happy 4th Bren. Humbug LOL |
We are just hanging around home too. Looks like rain and with the dogs and our baby I don't think we wanna get out in it. If it holds off on the rain we might walk to see some fireworks tonight. We usually don't do much anymore for the fourth, just stay home and be lazy. :D |

I did nothing but lay around and read - it was wonderful:) Now I'm waiting for my ex to come visit the babies. Hoku misses her daddy so much, it kills me to see her run to the window everytime she hears air brakes (he's a truck driver). His visit will just make her day! What we do for our babies - LOL! |
me either my boyfriends family was supposed to bbq but since they were off today they were supposed to go fishing this morning and be back by when i got off. well they left to go fishing at 3:30 pm instead so i dont see them coming back soon. who knows maybe! if they do come back in time and decide to bbq then we will do that but if not i will be here at the house with skoshi. my mom and dad are going to the lake but i dont think i want to go with them. |
YEP! It is a "nothing" day for us too, how exciting :rolleyes: :( Usually we have big plans for the 4th of July, but this year they actually canceled the fire works tonight because of....RAIN!! It WILL NOT stop raining here and my front and backyard are just flooded, it just can\'t dry up because the rain won\'t stop! What a YUCKY 4th!! :thumbdown Texas weather just sucks! lol |
Not much going on here either. We just hung out. The weather is kinda yucky here too. It has threatened rain all day. There are tornado watches here, too. This morning we washed windows outside!! :eek: Shelby and Seymour played in the yard and rolled in the grass. :cool: |
Quiet here, too. HOTTTTT though. Heat index is like 98 degrees. UGH! My mom came down with shingles AGAIN and she is finally resting. Ozzie is on the sofa with me and Toby the Cat is looking out the door. It poured here earlier and then has alternately been clouding up, clearing up. The sun is out for now. Hoping that if it\'s going to rain again it will hold off until the fireworks are over. I\'m hoping to sneak uptown later and find a good spot to watch the local light show. If I go a little farther, I can also catch the fireworks on the St. Louis riverfront. Hmmmm ... we\'ll see what the weather\'s like! |
