No news?? I hope they are OK.

Been gone for few days and came to check on Mickey. No news since the third, oh my. Prayers still coming for this little mans speedy recovery.

Is anyone friendly enough with her to call? I just hope the baby is okay.

This was my thought...but I'm not...anyone? Just for an update.

How about, if we don't hear anything by 7:00 PM, whoever wants to participate, send out at group prayer for Baby Mikey and the family, doctors,
friends, and whoever else is involved?

How about doing this at 7:15 tonight (Sunday, 7/8)?

Wow, I am shocked to see no update on Mikey. We were getting them a couple times a day before. I am not only worried about Mikey and his family, I am worried something may have happened to Val or Babybear too. Does anyone know them personally so they can find out? I hope all is ok.

This is too strange ... I pray there is nothing wrong. I looked on Val's profile and the only thing listed is Instant Messaging. I have AOL, but don't know how to do that. Anyone know how??

Hi there Nat just IMed me. I did post on Friday with a new picture of Mikey, but I hit submit and I guess nothing went through. I am really sorry that it didn't go through.
Mikey is getting stronger everyday. He is still in the hospital for another 7 days of treatments. He is in a regular ward now with other babies. Becca can now stay in the room 24/7 with him they have a bed beside him for her. HE still has a pic line in for his meds and to draw blood this way they do not have to keep poking him to get blood they just take from this line. He still has a feeding tube in. He is now taken to breast feeding my daughter is so happy. He is not eating enough though. So what he does not nurse he has to be tube fed. If he is not eating well when they can release him then he will have to go home with a feeding tube. Becca does not like that idea. They told her on Friday they could send them home on Friday,but he would have to go home with the pic line in she would have to administor the meds through that and then also his feeding tube would stay in. But she said no that is why he his here so he doesn't get worst he keeps getting better. I think she made the right decision on that one.
I got to hold him for the fist time today in three weeks. It felt so good. He of course fell asleep in my arms but that was okay. I went to lay him in his crib and he was dreaming and laughing in his sleep. I have never seen a baby that young laugh so hard in his sleep.
Again I am really sorry that post did not go through. It was a nice long one too.
I wish i could be there everyday with them but they are a hour and a half way from all the family. THis hospital is about 60 miles from my house and three more miles away from her house. She lives 5 minutes away. And she was not giving updates on line until yesterday. Becca is just so wiped out.
I will try to post a picture of Mikey in a few minutes I want to make sure this letter goes through okay.

Thank goodness...Mikey continues to prove himself strong!!! This is such a relief, I know there are many others here that have also been quite concerned. I will keep up the prayers on my end...somebody upstairs seems to be listening. Hugs to, your family and of course baby Mikey.

I thank all of you for being there with all your prayers and being concerned. I am glad that Nat got ahold of me via IM to let me know that my last update did not go through. I was going to post later on tonight when I got Babybear to bed. It is so much easier when he is in bed sleeping.
I will make sure i give daily updates and i will check back to make sure they go through more than once.

Thank God!! I was so worried that I would have to go to bed without any news. I am so thankful that he is doing so well! What a handsome little tiny man ... thanks so much for the update and picture! I am so happy to hear Mikey is improving and what a cutie he is. You all must be so worn out.

Yay, I am glad to get an update on Mikey. What a little champ he is. Looks like he will be going home soon to sleep in his own bed. I bet he will like that. Keep up the good work little guy and you will be there before you know it and mommy and daddy can get some well deserved rest.

Mikey is so precious - such a fighter. I know Becca will be glad to get him home!

My nephew came home with a feeding tube and it was not hard at all. His doctors showed my BIL and sister what to do and everything went fine.

After all he's been thru, I'm sure Mikey will be, too:)

Hey there Everyone,
I just got off the phone with Becca a short time ago. she sounded depressed. Seems Mikey does not want to eat again. The nurses are getting nervous. Telling Becca she is not feeding Mikey right and everything. Well, I had a talk with her. I asked what the feeding schedual was like. She told me that they have her putting Mikey to breast for 30 minutes then give him a bottle for 30 minutes and then they tube feed the rest. I asked how often this is done. She said every 3 hours. WEll darn if I was eating for an hour plus and i had to eat in a little over an hour. Darn I would not be hungry either. It is almost like a continous feed. IF I am wrong please someone tell me. But I am remembering back when I was breast feeding my kids years ago. They were to feed on demand. Bottle fed baby(only one of mine bottle fed) he ate every 4 hours. Honestly I think they are over feeding him. MPO. So I guess they have to work on him eating right in order to hopefully be released this weekend.
so again I am praying he does not have a set back. I guess that is all of an update I have so far. Oh and they also told my daughter to get a boppy pillow for him. He is layign down to much and that might have something to do with his food not going through him fast enough. By the sounds of it they are guessing again.
Gotta run Babybear needs to be fed. And he needs some therapy. He has been a little lazy bones today.

Thank God he's okay. He's so precious - what a handsome little guy. Prayers will continue. YT prayers are strong!

He'll get through the feeding issue. He's been through so much worse. With Grandma holding him, he'll gain even more strength. I love that he was laughing in his dream. That is so sweet.
