Yep the do refurbrish them but now you pay $25 for shipping and processing. I just took my backpack the other day to have some stitching fixed. For the $25 it was shipped both ways, cleaned up, stitching fixed and the buckles were all replaced. So I have definitely gotten my moneys worth from spending that $350. I will be getting tons of use as well in the future from it. Coach is a good way to go for a long lasting bag. One thing I do recommend is to buy the cleaning/conditioning kit if you buy the leather ones. Coach leather is not processed/sealed so you can get scuffs and stuff from natural wear. The cleaning/conditioning kit works good because it cleans it up and conditions it to keep the leather nice, soft and helps it to last longer. |
2 Attachment(s) Here are the two bags hubby got my for our 3 year anniversary (June 20th): 1. Louis Vuitton Batignolles http://www.eluxury.com/browse/produc...586&SectionID= 2. Gucci 'Abbey' Medium Shoulder Bag w/ Off-White Leather Trim (I wanted the off-white leather trim because I have so many with the brown leather trim) http://www.gucci.com/us/us-english/u...470_F4DYG_9773 |
I am soooo in love with coach bags. Last year I had a Chloe and Tinkerbell garage sale to raise money to buy my dream fish coach bag on ebay. That was the only way my husband would let me buy one. It was a retired bag and I got it for 40% off(it was a $500 bag) and it is beautiful, the qualilty is amazing and it holds up so well. It was well worth $300 I spent on it and I still carry it around every day. My husband gripes about how expensive it is but unlike his stupid video games he pays $50 each for and gets tired of after 2 weeks Ive been using my bag for over a year. I consider Coach bags excellent investments, when well cared for they even maintain their value for a long time. I bought a coach bag once and decided it wasnt the style for me after using it just a few times and I sold it on ebay for as much as I paid for it  (I hope all this helps convince your hubby that $200 is well worth spending on a coach bag ;) ) |

My sister's husband once said to my hubby, Jim, why do you let Jen buy all those expensive bags? And do you know what my SWEET, WONDERFUL hubby said? He said, "She deserves it. (Isn't he a love? :p) Plus, we both work full-time but even if Jen didn't work at all and stayed home, I'd still find a way to get her bags for her because it makes her happy." You only live once. I say ENJOY your life and have no regrets. |
I love handbags. Coach bags are my favorite. I like ones that are different, yet have a classic look and I can always find that with Coach. I also like Kate Spade and LV. Designer bags are a bit pricey but they really do hold up well. I have a few dooney and bourke bags from almost 10 years ago, and they still look like new! So I allow myself to splurge once a year if I see a bag that is screaming, "buy me!" :D:D :D |

The only real designer purses I have had are from Dooney & Burke. I just like their designs the best. But I agree that the leather ones can be very havy (even the smaller ones). The only reason I had those is I worked for a company where the "Burke" was a family member and hence we were offered them at a 50% discount. Even then they were still expensive. For you Brighton fans, Marc Chantel sells his bags through many Hallmark stores. He used many of the same fabrics, the same hardware and leather and they run from about $45-90. They are really cute and hold up well also. For all others, I am all about the fabulous fakes - especially since I tire of them easily. I just got an adorable black & white polka dot "Kate Spade" for $60!! |
My absolute favorites are Louis Vuitton, Dior, Chanel, Gucci, Prada and Fendi. I also like Coach, Doone & Bourke, Dolce & Gabbana, Mui Mui, Bottega Veneta, Kate Spade, Marc Jacobs, Versace, Michael Kors and gosh the list just goes on! :D :D I'm such an addict! I need to take classes for this lolol :p |
BCBG Max Azria also has cool bags but they weigh a TON empty--even more so than coach. They have really thick leather and neat hardware |
I must have missed the shoe & purse line when I was born because I'm severely lacking that gene ...I'm the rare female who just walks by shoes & purses, I don't know why, but I just don't have the drive to purchase them...just give me a paper sack & some flip flops & I'm set.... |
Girls my motto is if the bills are all paid and we have some splurge money then go for it. We live once and yes we have to save for retirement but I would like to enjoy some of the fruits of my labor...which happen to be a purse or two..:D |
