Just out of hospital I'm writing this short note, in case some of my friends here are getting worried about why I haven't been online. I was just released from the hospital. I went in early Wednesday morning with severe abdominal pain. Ends up my gull bladder has been releasing stones, and one agrivated my pancreas (excuse the misspelled words, lol). Thursday they scoped and removed all the stones, then yesterday they removed my gall bladder. They just sent me home, and although I'm very sore -- I feel a lot better than I did on Wednesday. Okay that's about all I can tolerate sitting here, I'm going to take a pain pill and go lay down. I'll give more info later. :D |
Holy cow - yesterday ?? And you're home already ?? GET WELL Soon !! I'm sorry to hear that and am glad you're ok ...Feel better & take it easy...We'll try to hold the fort down in your absence :D |
Wow, isn't that major surgery? Should they have let you go home so quickly? I do hope your on the mend and without any complications. You take care of yourself. |
Glad you're okay and on the mend. You'll be feeling back to normal real soon. I didn't have any complications as you, I just had gall stones and they took my gall bladder out that morning and I was home by mid afternoon. |
Oh OUCH! A friend of mine on another group just had hers removed last week. She compared the gall bladder attack pain to giving birth X 100:( I hope your healing is speedy! Did they give you a list of things you shouldn't eat now? |

Today is the first day I didn't take pain pills every 4 hours, yay. I feel very tender, but on Thursday I go for my followup, and from what I understand most of the healing should be done. It's just incredible what they can do these days. Before this would have been a surgery that would have cut through the abdominal wall, which would have meant months of recovery, but besides moving like I'm 80 years old, lol, and unable to bend over very well -- I can walk, sit, and function well. Again, Dr. Thomas said that my recovery is going slower than normal because I'm still recovering from the pancreatis that the stones caused. If I hadn't procrastinated and gone to the doctor when I started not feeling right months ago, I'd have saved myself the hospital trip as well as a lot of pain. I know I've learned my lesson, it's just hard we don't have insurance since Donald opened his shop, and we are still paying on Donald's medical bills from the snake bite. I knew I needed to go the the Dr to find out what was going on, but kept putting it off thinking that once we had Donald's stuff paid off I'd talk to my Dr. about the tummy problems. Oh well, hindsight is 20/20. Thank you everyone for your support and concern; I'll keep you posted on what my primary Dr. says at the followup on Thursday. |
Im so sorry I hope you get better soon and im Glad your home and ok..:) |
