I like the name Carson(boy) or Karsyn(girl). My daughter's name is Allison Jane. Right now I'm loving the name Isabelle & calling her Izzie. For boys I like Ethan or Preston. Good luck in deciding!

My niece's name is Jentry-she loves having a name no one has-she has never met another one, LOL My mom met a man with the name Gentry and that is where that come from. My grandpa's name was Britton, which I really like, it is different also. Congrats on the baby and good luck finding a great name. :)

I like Summer Rose too. Azalia is what my brother is going to name his daughter.....Azalia or Azalea I think.

My granddaughters names are GracieAnn Nicole and Kallee Nicole and then there is Karis Michele. My nephew named his daughters Kia Nicole, Breanna Nicole and Kealy Nicole. When you look into that little babies face, you will know exactly what fits. Patty

Sometimes you know as soon as you hear a name. I had picked out Isreal for my older son but then I watched Save the Last Dance and heard the name Malachi, I was sold. i knew right there that that was his name. I changed the spelling the Malakai so his nickname would be Kai (poor thing i actually call him Booby because he was a fat little baby with big boobs) The name suits him. When I found out I was having yet another boy, I wanted something biblical but not over the top, I like some names but they just werent strong enough, so I found Ezekiel which I changed to Ezekial, (Zeke..I call him Lump, Lump cause he was Sugarlump but I shortened it) I thought of every nickname my boys could have too!!! VERY IMPORTANT when picking out names because the other kids will come up with something you dont want you child called so dont make it easy for them

I too, when I 1st found out I was preg. wanted a name NOT many people have or was old fashion and not used as much now a days.

After months of looking at names (way before I even found out the sex) I decided to look at my family history book and ask about late relatives names.

We are naming are son Pedro Nieves. Which is after my dad's father and the middle name will be after my uncle, who never had any kids. And scent Pedro means Peter in English and thats my hubbies dads name. It will also be named after him as well :p Even thou my MIL is not to happy about that:rolleyes: oh well!!

My only advise to you is. ONCE you pick out a name for your baby and you and your hubby LOVE the name. Dont let any one try to talk you out of naming your baby that name.

I have had EVERY one on my hubbies side of the family, try to talk me out of naming are baby Pedro Because it means Peter in English... and his mom and brother don't like his dad. Even thou his brother dose not remember his dad. That and his co-workers have said a few thing about the name because I don't "look" mexican (I'm half white and half mexican) and the baby wont either...and he is going to get picked on because of the name and ALL this good stuff.

BUT EVERY ONE on MY side of the family LOVE the name. Including all my moms coworker. Scent Nieves means Snow in english. Ever one is already calling him little snow :p which I think is a CUTE nick name :p

Just dont let some one TRY to talk you into naming your baby something else from what you picked out because THEY dont like the name. It's your baby. So you get to name him/her and do all the fun stuff :p

AGAIN Congratulations!! As soon as you know it, you will be holding your baby in your arms. Not really remembering how long it took or how hard it was picking out his/her name :p

Maybe a combination of your name and Husband name.Or maybe a close relative The first is always named after someone,close friend,relative.Just have fun with it!

New Zealand authorities have blocked a couple's bid to officially name their new son "4real," saying numerals are not allowed.

Pat and Sheena Wheaton said they decided to name their new baby "4real" shortly after having an ultrasound and being struck by the reality of his impending arrival.

"For most of us, when we try to figure out what our names mean, we have to look it up in a babies book and ... there's no direct link between the meaning and the name," Pat Wheaton told TV One on Wednesday. "With this name, everyone knows what it means."

But when the parents filed the name with New Zealand's Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages, they were told names beginning with a number were against the rules.

The government office has opened negotiations with the parents about the name under a policy that says all unusual names must be given case-by-case consideration.

"The name has not at this stage been rejected," Registrar-General Brian Clarke said in a statement Thursday. "We are currently in discussions with the parents ... to clarify the situation."

Clarke said the rules are designed to prevent names that are "likely to cause offense to a reasonable person." Satan and Adolf Hitler were proposed names that have been declined, he said.

If no compromise has been reached by July 9, the baby will be registered as "real," officials say.

New Zealand law requires all children born in the South Pacific nation to be registered with the Births, Deaths and Marriages registry within two months of birth.

OK so I am weird because I like unusual names like Leviticus Aaron for a boy (Levi for short) and Americus Nation for a girl (Mer for short)

Very true...a friend of mine (who is large) loves the name MacKenzie for girl/boy, but said she will NEVER use it because she can just hear kids yelling "Big Mac."

CONGRATS on your pregnancy!!! Picking a name is difficult because you want the "perfect" one. With our first child, she would have been Grayson Cole (and we would have called her Cole), but since she was a girl, we decided that was not the best fit. :p LOL! We ended up naming her Abby McKenna. With our second baby, we had picked Ethan McKinley (McKinley would have been in memory of Abby). However, we found out that we were having a girl. We named her Emma Lauren...before we knew how popular Emma is. Oh well, I guess there are worse things in life than to have a popular name that also happens to be beautiful. :) Our third child would have been Hope Elizabeth but once again we were wrong on what we thought we were having. HAHAHA!! We named our now 2 year old son, Landon Tyler. We also liked Ethan Sawyer and he was Landon Zachary right up to the very end of my prenancy...then, on the way to the hospital, I changed my mind to Landon Tyler. :rolleyes: Weird thing...I had been having dreams of my aunt that passed away a few years ago and I found after I had Landon that she had always dreamed of naming a child Tyler. I guess she got to name a baby in the famiy afterall. :)
