Paris ordered BACK to jail - our streets are safe.... |
Personally I don't think our streets were ever unsafe with Paris. I would be more worried with Britney, Lindsay and Nicole being lose in the streets. I just think this is unnecessary and cruel. She didn't let herself out of jail, but she's paying the price. It sucks that her blood alcohol level was .08 and Nicole Richies was way higher and nothing has happened to her  I think she is being made an example of and it's cruel and unusual punishment.:thumbdown I'm definitely no fan of Paris by the way. |

Here's the part I DON'T get ... If you have THAT much money, swill all the alcohol you want. Pop all the pills you think you need. Puff as much ganga as you like -- BUT THEN CRAWL IN A LIMO!!!!:D |
It also goes to show you what these rich kids are made of .... not that she's a kid at what 26 years old! I was already raising two children and working full time to support them at that age yet Paris cries like a baby because she has to do jail time ... for her own actions. In the old days she might have gotten thrown in the Army and sent overseas instead of jail time. Can you just imagine the drama then. |

Not to be confrontational ;) ;), but she could have killed someone. |
My Husband says she now has a cause for a lawsuit. It was the sheriffs decision to reassign her not any of her doing. Then the judge penalizes her and makes her go back for 45 days instead of the reduced 23 days. I dont agree with drinking and driving but now she is a victim of the court system |
I bet if we asked some members of MADD what they think about her being a criminal for driving drunk they would have a different opinion. It doesnt matter if it is Paris or whoever it is, they broke the law and they were given 2 chances after that since she was pulled over twice afterwards and 3 strikes and anyone should be out. I bet if she sits in jail for her entire sentence she will think long and hard about her hopping into her Mercedes after a few drinks again. Chachi I do agree that she should have only had to do the origional sentence and not the full 45. That was messed up. |
in some ways i want to jump up and down and say wooo hooo and then in others im like uhh ok i dont get it, i have read stories just recently of the guy who had fallen asleep in a drive thru window and he as drunk , and he has 27 other previous dui why in the h**l was he even driving or still had his license? i know she wasnt supposed to drive and she did cause she thought she was above the law and basically could but i mean she did it what 2 or 3 times? i mean there are others out there that are much worse and they could have find her and given her cummnity service or they could have given her jail time you know, and i think with the high profile of this case they feel like they have to do something cause so many people are watcing i do agree she didnt let herself out of jail but she was right in on whatever the sheriff and the dr and who ever were in cahoots doing. there are alot of people who have break downs in jail but they go to another cell block or the doctors in there and they basicallyget over it that was her sentence she needs to get over it and do her time all the ones trying to get her out are going to so is hurt her and they think they are helping her, making their own rules for her, i mean hello i do feel bad for her i mean thinking she was going to sit at her huge home and do her time cause she was emotionally distraguht but had they let her out without her house arest how long before she was back into the night clubs? its ridiculous and i have to say i hope she learns her lesson, i hope she gets a damn limo or driver for now on, maybe she can drive a lexus or beamer and not a 500 thou. dollar car and then she can afford a 24 hour driver maybe or something, but i am for the most part relived, she needs to just do her time and shut up cause most part she will only have to serve half of that time or less |

GOOD FOR THE JUDGE!! :bravo: to HIM!!! I was SO happy to hear this. And POOR LITTLE PARIS was crying and whining like a big 'ol baby for her MOMMY. Oh, I feel so SORRY for her  This little cry baby got EXACTLY what she deserved. Maybe she'll think twice before she decides to get behind the wheel of a care and drive DRUNK again. Money doesn't buy you EVERYTHING Paris  :thumbdown Looks like it didn't buy your time out of jail, now did it? ;) |
Posted this in the wrong thread so I put it here.... I was watching Larry King last night & his guests said that the sheriff has the authority to over ride what the judge orders, I hope she servers a few more days just to knock some reality into her that she's not as special as she think she is.....the only reason she may go back is because of the up roar it has caused from her early release..if she does return she won't be eating that food that's for sure, the next news broadcast will say, "Be on the look out for Paris Hilton...prisoner escapes from jail by slipping through the bars...may be crazed & demented...approach w/ caution." ____ |

shes such a brat she deserves to go to jail |
She went to jail NOT for DUI, but for driving with a suspended license. Most people who are caught driving with a suspended license don't serve jailtime, and if they DO serve jailtime, it's around 3-5 days....not 45 days!!!!!!!! I don't like Paris Hilton at all, but to me, this sentence is a bit excessive. However, she should be accountable for her actions and I do believe she should serve whatever sentence the judge gives her, whether I believe it's excessive or not. |

I have to say the 45 days is quite excessive for the violation, seven to ten days seems about right....but I really don't agree that we like to knock her down to feel better about ourselves...it's hard to feel much sympathy for an unsympathetic person....Paris had a court date in front of the judge to address the violations, but she still had the arrogance to show up late for court, you don't poke a hornets nest w/ a stick....she angered the judge & I can say is I don't blame him...I would NEVER show up late for a court date...it's that attitude of superiority that makes her an unlikeable person... sure, she's not being tried for her personality, but it's that obnoxious attitude that put her where she is, she just PO'ed the wrong person this time...& money won't save her this time.... jmo :) |

Thank you for your kind words. I have nothing against drinking it's just be mature enough to call your parents, friend, cab or anyone that will make it safer for everyone including the person drinking. |
the whole thing is a freaking circus. No wonder California has $$$ issues when they waste it pissing over stuff like this. Paris shouldn't have drank and drove. But the issue is she drove on a suspended license is why she was issued the jail time. Do they not have better things to do? Like murderers and rapists to catch? Or gangs to battle? Or are they trying to make an example of her? This judge reminds me of the moron who resided over the Anna Nicole paternity thing. What a showcaser! |
She went to jail for violating her 36 month probation, not driving on a suspended license. She was let go the first time and given probation and she violated it. That means jail time. She has violated it twice since she was given probation so I think she got what was coming to her. Sometimes you have to knock people over the head before they finally get it and maybe that is what they decided to do this time. |
She should have been treated like EVERYONE else - no more no less ..... that goes for all the rich that think their money will buy them out of everything - the law is susposed to wear a blindfold but we all know that's a bunch of BS. in her case it seems they're being harsher than needed now with this reversal EDITED - I didnt know what CO_yorkie_momma just said is true - if she broke probation then she SHOULD be in jail - the average joe would be. |

But the streets are unsafe with Ppl like Paris as well as any other who drives under the influence of. My Best Friednds sister was killed 2 weeks after graduation from High school because of a drunk driver and all she was doing was sitting in her living room on a Friday night watching TV. The drunk driver came crashing through the living room wall and she was killed. Like U said.. this will give her a chance to think long and hard. |
