Not just young people. To be honest, there's MORE adults cutting (or other forms of causing pain) than children, believe it or not.

I don't mean to criticize you, but that sounds like a very jaded view.

Absoultely.

Here, it's a real problem that gets you automatically admitted to the psych ward in the hospital for 3 days minimum. It's required and you can't sign yourself out AMA.

That is disgusting - My oldest (17) wants to have wings tattooed on her back -(Big wings - also very ugly) I think I'd prefer the tat over this- but as long as I have say - It's nothing.....

And, btw, this is not related to "cutting" (as implied earlier) in any way, shape, or form. Cutting is done to relieve pain - bc the pain from the cut is LESS pain than the emotional pain someone is experiencing, sadly.

I'm not a cutter, but I certainly hear/see it often these days, and my heart goes out to anyone going through this.

I guess most of you guys have never heard of a Prince Albert or a Jacob's Ladder for men, huh? Talk about disgusting. My 15 year old son keeps talking about wanting tattoos. Of course, it'll be over my dead body until he's 18. Hopefully, by then, he will have outgrown it.

you guys are so funny lol. I agree they are different but i don't think they are horrible i have seen much much worse. Think about this having these on your back or on you Private area lol i have actually seen woman go in and ask to have this done to their unmentionable area below. i had a friend who was a peircer and people will peirce anything they can(anything) LOL on the boob thing hahaha i would need a lot more than a ribbon and some earrings to hold my girls i have a very large chest and to me that would be extreamly painful way more than the back. i do think it kinda looks cool up the sides though sorry. i had my belly button peirced when i was 18 and had complications with it and had it removed, I also have my tounge peirced but i am not a freak in anyway lol it was a rebelious thing i did at 18. I would never do it again though it hurt like hell!!

Alright, I did not know what a Jacob's Ladder or Prince Albert was so I had to google it. I'm a little bit sorry I did. I assumed it was something to do with genital piercing but I've never actually seen pictures. WHY would a guy do that? I'm no prude by any means but some of this is just ridiculous! Like they say though.... it takes all kinds of folks, right? Ick!

OMG I am cracking up! I googled it too and went to the Imperial Body Art site. First of all, IMO, eww- but I'm not a prude either and everyone likes different things and I have no problem with that. What was so funny about the site I was on was a few of these men maybe shouldn't being drawing so much attention down there. I really can't figure out how to keep this a clean post so that's all I'm going to say.:D

In the hospital, we see a lot of freaky stuff and I find it's the ones who ...uhhh... need to make up for something that do the craziest stuff down there.

Ok I'm not prude by any means, but this is just sick. I guess this is where parenting and family values come into play, to avoid having your children cut, mutilate or pierce themselves into oblivian. I wish these young people would take initiative in there life and do something important for this world instead of trying to seek attention :(
