Seriously Villette, I don't think you have as big of a problem as you think you do. My best friend is very large busted and always feels like she looks fat but she's just ill-proportioned. Have you ever considered a reduction? I'd love to say I would take some of it if that were possible!! ;) Although most of the complaints you hear nowadays are about high weight, I have always been criticized for being too skinny. No one with any tact would tell someone how fat they are but people don't hesitate to tell me I'm too damn skinny. Now, after having 2 kids, I not only still have a problem buying clothes because I don't think they make much in the Jr. dept. that a 35 year old wants to wear all the time but now I have that baby gut that's not in proportion with the rest of me. So see, not many of us are totally satisfied with our weight but I really think that we have a genetically predestined shape and have to learn to live with it (for the most part). If I had any will power at all, I would be doing crunches all evening but sadly, the exhaustion wins in the end! |

FlDebra - you're right on the thyroid problem - I'm on Armour Throid right now but ran out and just can't see the doctor at this time - and Gina - SHUUUUUUT UP !! lol - You look like what I used to look like. I miss wearing clothes like you can wear Angie - you are NOT too skinny - actually you have an hourglass shape - You're very pretty ! Didn't you see me gawking at you ????:p :p :p |

Regarding thyroid, I started gaining weight about three years ago and could NOT lose it for anything. My hair got dry, finger nails weak, tons of other stuff too. After bloodwork, scans, etc. they still say my thyroid is fine. What other tests can they do? One scan did find a lump, but that doctor said it was more of a muscle mass, not a lump in/on my thyroid. I went to four different doctors and one endocrinologist (sp). I heard that sometimes getting the doctor to determine a thyroid issue can be hard - some people, the first blood test finds it, but others, not so easy. Any ideas?? |
