Ever feel unwanted here on YT?? I have been going through a bit personally lately and have not been on much, but I signed in today and read through about 10 posts and found one that is again is listing products that I sell for slightly less than what I sell them for and or is encouraging YT members to buy from bigger companies that any small business can't compete with. Ever get the feeling that certian members just don't want you around?? I'm really getting that feeling! In fact I really think that I'm being run out of business! Actually I'm not the only vendor here who feels like this... We are just afraid to say something, cause if we do we run the risk of upsetting a very large potentual customer pool. When someone goes out of their way to post reviews of my products the day I debut them on my site and tells everyone where to get it cheaper or that someone has it with free shipping (if you buy a ton!) Its personal.... Non customers suscribe to my newsletter and get this info and are using against me... Its very discouraging... Whats worse is that I can't do anything about it! If I could offer free shipping I would, If I could sell it for a dollor cheaper I would, But the fact is, I am a small business, and I offer so much more. My shipping is not "Free" it gets there when it gets there.. Its priority! And it ships out FAST! I wrap each order with care and pay attention to the details! I refund on shipping when you've paid too much no matter the amount. You just can't get service like that from some of the other sites. Bottom line... I'm a bit beat up and I would really like this to stop. I am actually considering closing Beyond Spoiled. I opened this business to keep me occupied while I am going through a very difficult period in my life. Things went from bad to worse for me and are very stressfull on a personal level right now and these members who are going out of their way to find alternitive vendors for every product that I have are really hurting me.... I love my business, I'm good at what I do and spoiling you all is a highlight for me... Whats worse is the following that their starting to build... Like I said... I'm really starting to feel a bit unwanted around here. |
AWHHH I am sorry you are having a hard time. I for one have ordered from you and KNOW without a shadow of a doubt your things are great and your quality is unbeatable. I like small mom and pop shops and will always continue to shop with my YT stores first and formost. :D :D Hope you feel better Kathryn - I love you girl and definately want you on this forum!! :D |

I am sorry you are going through that. There ae always going to be people looking to get something for the cheapest price possiible. There are also people that buy from vendors they know and trust. I only buy from YT members and usually just the established ones. Hang in there we love you |
I don't know a lot about the "dog supply" business, but I do know that I have gotten great service from you ......(and personal!) when I ordered. ( I don't order much from on-line stores) You are one of the few YT'ers that befriended me when I started on YT. I have noticed that a lot of the regulars that were here when I first started aren't here nearly as much. LOTS of newbies that I haven't gotten the chance to get to know ( I haven't had as much time on here lately) Please don't give up! I don't know of anyone that could give as much personalization to a customer. |
I have to agree with you Kathryn because I have seen a couple of threads like what you are referring too. I will stick with you. I rather give another dollar and know who and what I am dealing with. YOu know how scared I've been because I don't want to order it & not get to use it because of Sadie's health issues, but her teeth are pretty bad, so I think I"m just going to bite the bullet & do it. (Oh, and there was never any doubt that if I decided to order any, who I was going to order it from....it was always going to be you!) |

Sorry to hear about this.....You know, we love you here and don't want you to close your business due to competition....there are so many doggie stores opening lately......you have always had super fast shipping, take the extra time and care in packaging the items and are always helpful! Sorry people have to be like that sometimes. Although I've never personally bought from you, I see how much hard work you put into your business, and it's SOOO much better to support smaller businesses than huge corpororations! Don't get too put off by these people cause you've got something great going on.! |
Kathryn your service is the BEST! I'm sure this thread is going to go many many pages with people telling you how thrilled they are with Beyond Spoiled! My mom just sold her dog boutique because a PetSmart opened in the area and she couldn't compete. People complain about poor service but still run small businesses out because they want to save $1.00 instead of getting great service. It's a shame. Good luck continuing your awesome business and please don't even think of closing down. |

Kathryn i am so sorry you feel this way and being a community of friends, family and so much more personally i my opinion it hurts us all. i have never ordered from beyond spoiled and its not becuase i go any where else i just havent looked into buying clothes and stuff for frankie. i had gottn some stuff the basics from dog.com only becuase they sent me "free certificates" when i registered frankie and let me tell you, they have an online chat about products, the lady disconnected, hung up or ended the conversation 3 times before i was done asking her questions, so i finally called the customer service line and they were rude becuase i was tellingthem about their rep ending the online conver. chat with me before i was done, and then they gave me a hard time about ordering and i needed it here by this time and i had a coupon code for free shipping but in the end i had to pay more for free shipping, and it was like an unpersonal event. i feel that when i am out of the thigs i ordered i would turn to you or one of theyt shops becuase for one you guys are easyily accesable, you knoe the product since you guys have yorkies and you guys do most liklely use or ahve used the product. i just dont want you to feel this way, it makes me sad to know that someone on here feels saddend by family, and friends on here, and i just want you to know that i will order from you as most on here will. most of us have probably been down that free shipping road before and we know where it goes down alot of bumps and dips and where the heck did this take me? but when you take the longer harder (more expensive) way its so much smoother and nicer and you can enjoy the view. now cheer up and get a smile on that pretty face. i have learned that no matter what or where you go in life there are "haters" and you justhave to laugh it off and think at least im happy cause them "haters" they are never happy unless they are hating with someone else. *im not calling any one on here haters either* im talking about in life, in school, in reality, you cant let people get you down. i do not want to be reprimanded by calling someone on here a hater, and i have not so please dont misinterpret. :) |

I know EXACTLY who you are referring to :thumbdown (although I won't post anyone's username because I'm too polite lol :p) and I'm so sorry you (and other YT members who own personal businesses) are being put through this. Just remember babe, those people are jealous because you're well liked and your business is thriving. I would rather pay a few bucks more and support a fellow YT member and very good friend then give my money to an unknown company who just processes my order to make money and pays no personal attention to me (or better yet, has no real interest in me or my dogs). I enjoy buying from you, Shana (Shanatink), Jodie (LuvMySissy) and Rena (Barking Dog Clothes) and other YT members because you really care about your products and you make it your business to see that I'm 100% satisfied with my order. I've never had a bad experience with you and I doubt I ever will. I still can't get over the fact that my stuff ships the same day whenever I order from you. You're an amazing person and your products are equally amazing!! Love ya babe!! Don't let anyone get you down!! If you need to vent, call me. Kathryn, although I've never bought anything from you yet, sorry. :embarasse I have to tell you, I would rather buy from a smaller site like yours than a bigger one. I know as a customer, I would probably pay slightly more than I would at a bigger site, but where is the customer service? To me customer service is everything. I've read some great things about your customer service. :) Hang in there. I hope your personal problems work themselves out. One more thing I'd like to add. Recently Kat came to visit me for a week and I saw first hand how much she truly cares about her business and she customers. She CONSTANTLY checked her e-mails and orders and gave her hubby STRICT INSTRUCTIONS (lolol poor Brian lol :D) on what to do re all those orders once he got home and to send them out as quickly as possible. Someone else may have said the heck with it, I'm on vacation. I'll attend to work when I get home. Nope! Not Kathryn. She checked her e-mails constantly. I almost had to pry her little fingers off the keyboard LOL :D So to me, knowing someone truly cares about ME and MY DOGS personally makes such a world of difference. I'd order from you and other fellow YT members any day over another vendor that I don't know. You rock girly! :D |

Not only does she constantly refer people to non-YT member's sites, or the one site she obviously is loyal to, she is now bumping up other threads with what I consider to be "bump" questions. "How do you know if someone is a donating member", give me a break...she's been here long enough to know. Unfortunately, it's ongoing, and you are not the only one this happens to. Until this site discourages free advertising, I am afraid you're right, there is nothing you or other donating/Featured Sellers can do about it. It's just a REAL shame. I just wanted to say that I totally support the small business people/members here and even after ordering from Petedge way way back when I first got Chanel (5 years ago) ...I'd much rather do business with someone I post with.... I don't shop much but if I could - I would DEF buy from you Kat - I know your site has fantastic customer service and I'd way rather give my money to someone I know than a faceless big company Some people may be posting deals they find online but I think many of us would rather pay a few bucks more and buy from a friend. I know I would. |
Don't close!! When I ordered from you you were going away but you said your husband would send it out. I wasn't worried but you said you would make sure it went out and it did. I was very pleased with my dealings with you. I always try and buy from YT sellers as I know they but so much in to their business. |
I am really sorry that you feel this way. I've been focusing on debuting my clothing line for our furbabies and I've already seen how ugly it can get when you're trying to build yourself and company up in so many ways. There will always be the people that want to drag you down in life, but I really hope that you can find a way to rise above all of that! I haven't personally ordered from you, but I got Cranberry Fields Shampoo/Conditioner in this current gift exchange, and I'd think of ordering it from no one but yourself in the future, as well as your great pixie stix! I'd much rather buy from someone who CARES about me/my dogs/and understands that as a customer I'm spending my hard earned money on something and deserve to be "spoiled".. so Kathryn I think you and your business is fabulous and I really hope you stick around! |

I've never ordered from you myself because I don't really order many things, but if I were to buy any products that you carry, I would definitely buy from you :) I'm totally supportive of small businesses. I would much rather buy from someone who has excellent customer service, than from some big company that's not going to put any thought into it. And even though I've never ordered from you, I've heard such great reviews from YT members that I've actually recommended your website! Cheer up, I know sometimes life can hit you hard, but keep your chin up. I'm not sure which posts you're referring to as I rarely ever get on the Yorkie Product Reviews forum, but I'm sorry if you're feeling unwelcome. Stay positive, and please don't close. |

Dear Kathryn, All I know is that you made me all black belly bands for Max, you looked especially for the color which you don't usually make, didn't charge me extra, kept in touch with me, and sent me a beautiful product which was a lot cheaper than the large companies charge. Fortunately, I didn't have to use them because I got Max to stop marking, but if I go visit somebody, I have them ready to wear. |

Could it be that the person who recommended a cheaper store was only trying to help those who need a bargin? Sometimes people mean well and it's taken totally out of context. Hope you don't think anyone is out to get you. Just keep doing what ever you want and don't play into it. Everyone knows you have a good product, so just by word of mouth, it gets around quick, no not to worry over what one person said. ;) |
Kathryn-Don't take it personal, keep your store open. In all walks of life, there are people who want the best bargain (and they are avid shoppers, I think its about the hunt), people who want the best value, and people who just see something and buy it. There will always be the flea markets, the Walmarts and the Norstroms. They each know who their customer is and cater to them. You have to decide who is your customer and don't sweat the others. I too, wonder how do some of those bargain basement priced companies giving free shipping, do it. I know what the costs are and how much time I put into my products. But to dwell on them is a waste of valuable time. You offer a great product at a fair price. Be proud and keep up the great work!! |
I have seen this Kathry and this person seems to have it out for you,It reallt ticks me off sometimes and I want to say something.It is like she looks and sees what you have on your site then searches elsewhere and post and says oh look what I found.. I think you should talk to admin about this persons behavior. Do not let her win,it is obvious hse has issue with you! |
