I LOVE TO COOK!this is going to be so fun, okay here i go for a salad i have a creation with tomatos and cucumber...first you want to peel your cucumbers then cut them into chunky pieces, then cut your tomatoes into big chunky pieces also then add lemon juice, very thin sliced onions, salt, and 1 tbs of kimchee base. if you can't find kimchee base then you can also use asian chilli sauce but only use 1tsp of that. mix all together let sit in the fridge for 1 hr and walla you have your cucumber tomatoe salad, very refreshing for the summer and goes really good with bbq! and is very simple to make :D |
I have a few recipes that I should dig out and post for you too. I am going out of town this weekend but when I get back I will make sure that I post. :) |

Take a stick of margarine or butter melt on stove with more (the more lime the better)natural lime juice add salt pepper & a lil garlic.(can also add oregano) take chicken out uncover and brush with margarine mixture really good. stick chicken legs in broiler till lightly browned(uncovered). mixture also tastes great when we grill chicken as well. |

Another thing I throw lots of parties so i would also be interested in different drink recipes both alcoholic and non alcoholic.!!!!!!! thanks |
I have a few really good summer drinks that you can drink with or without alcohol. What we should do is get a list of email addresses together as to who wants to be in on this and do it that way. I think it would be way easier. What do you think. Then we would all have them in our email and easy to print out. I would be more than willing to help out if we want to do it this way. |
I love satays! Im veggie so this is just with veg, but I guess you could add chicken or something to it. This amount serves 4 3 tbsp crunch peanut butter 3 tbsp sweet chilli sauce 100 ml thick coconut milk 100 ml veg stock 2 tbsp soy sauce 300 g thin egg noodles 2 tbsp sesame oil 2 inch piece fresh root ginger, grated 3 small clove of garlic finely sliced 140 g tender stem broccoli florets 1 small red bell pepper 85 g baby corn sliced lengthways 50 g mangetout 50 g asparugus 20 g chopped scallions (spring onions) 25g peanuts roughly chopped small handful of fresh basil leaves mix the peanut butter, chilli sauce, coconut milk, stock and soy sauce to make a smooth satay sauce. Cook the noodles as per instructions on packet. Heat the oil in a wok and stir fry the ginger broccoli, peppers, corn and asparagus for 3 mins, add the mangetout, scallions and garlic and stirfry for 2 mins. Pour over the peanut sauce and bring to the boil. Drain the noodles thoroughly, add to the wok and stirfry over a high heat for 1-2 mins. sprinkle over the basil leaves and peanuts and serve!!! |
That sounds good recons momma. I was thinking maybe a seperate thread for different types of recipes. Whichever is easiest. I love this I cant wait to see what kinds of recipes everyone shares. Need to go find my recipe book lol |
Punch Slush Boil 2 cups sugar and 3 cups water together for 5 minutes. Add: 1/4 cup lemon juice 1 large frozen orange juice 1 can apricot nectar 1 package frozen strawberries, thawed and pureed. (I usually add an extra pkg of strawberries, because I like em!) FREEZE….Scrape into glass and pour 7-Up, ginger-ale or sprite over. Make it as thin or as thick as you like! Mmmmm Mmmmm Goooood! Great to cool you off on a hot summer day! (I freeze mine in an ice cream pail. It takes quite a while for it to freeze, so if making it for an event, do it a couple days ahead of time. You can leave this in your freezer for months and it stays good. I always have a pail of it in my freezer in the summer. You can also use this in a punch bowl...take it out a few hours before you want to use it so it's not so solid...then put into punch bowl and pour a couple liters of 7-up over it and mix it a bit. You can also add alcohol if desired.) |
I think this is a great idea i love trying new recipes!!!!! My husband will appreciate something different |

I am still a hurting unit to say the least. I cant wear normal clothes. Cant put on a bra cause it hurts my shoulders so bad I want to cry. Anyway, now that I am home i will start adding more to this list. |

And here's my family's favorite salad: cut-up hard boiled eggs (1 per person) cut up lettuce (1/4 head for each person) 1/4 to 1/2 cut up purple onion sliced cucumber (1/4 for each person) cut up raw fresh cauliflower (1/2 cup for each person) cut up tomatoes (1/2 per person) cut up raw fresh brocoli (1/2 cup for each person) 1/2 cup deli turkey 1/2 cup deli ham 1/2 cup bacon bits Add Ranch dressing and mix all together very well. Ymmmm  |
