What do "regular" people have to serve if they have the same convictions in California? If it's the law to serve 45 days in county jail for everyone with those convictions against then, then it's more than fair. If not, and she's being made an example of because she's rich and spoiled, I don't think it's fair. That's a misuse of the justice system. I'd much rather have her taken out of the media for 45 days. She's boring and annoying and then we'd all benefit. |

I too can't stand drunk drivers though & think there should be harsher punishements. There is a guy i work with that has 3DUI & has totalled 2 cars. Thank God he never killed anyone, but he easy could have. He takes no responsibility for it. He claims it will happen to me, like someone forces you to drink & drive. He now has his license permanently suspended & was on house arrest for 6months after his 3rd indictiment, but never served any time actually in jail. |
I dont know what regular people have to serve. My mom is a recovering alcholic and she drove drunk and ran people off the road she went to jail and rehab and eventually went to prision for 6ish months for probation violation. which i assume was waht they charged paris with. I guess paris wasnt so bad since she didnt wreck. So im not sure what they normally get. My brother who isnt even old enough to drink also has had a dui they took his license away and made him take the classes iver heard paris skipped out on. i assume my brother would have gotten into bigger trouble had he done the same. my brother had his license taken away as well and didnt get caught driving without it while it was taken away. He got fined. and served one night i jail the night he was arrested. So i think what paris got is completely fair i dont think she had to spend any time in jail and they refused to let my bro out til the next day at like 3 p.m. and had she had done what she was supposed and not drove she would proly of got off with notta dang thing. |

I was also born, but that doesn't get me special treatment. R Kelly-- two wrongs do not make a right. |
Okay---say no more--- she is STILL driving. Oh yes please, let's all shed a tear for the unfairness of her plight. |
I saw earlier on tv that she was driving again they they gave her back her license. cuz the suspension was lifted they didnt say why. i assume cuz it was when it was scheduled to be lifted but geez you would think after she got in trouble again they would keep it suspended. |
her skinny should have to learn you cant drive with a susp. license just because your an heiress the same rules apply to all and should be abided to! what a cry baby! |

How does the saying "two wrongs do not make a right" apply to what I said and this situation? I don't get it. |

It would be ridiculous to free her . Last year , one of my friends have been killed by a woman drunk driver . At the court , the judge didn't give a sentence to this young woman . Judge only said it was the first time she killed a person . I really wonder how many she will have to kill before she goes to jail ? |

If you ever lost someone to a reckless drunk driver, you would agree that Paris' sentence is just and fair. About 2 years ago, my dearest friend Michelle lost her daughter to a drunk driver. I saw how Lina's death destroyed her mother, her 2 sisters and her father. Her mother, Michelle, couldn't cope with her death and tried to kill herself FOUR times. She slit her wrists 3 times and popped pills once. Thank god she's still here. Her husband couldn't cope with all the tragedy and loss and left his wife and 2 daughters. Her 2 sisters are devestated and heart broken. One dropped out of high school and the other left college. This once BEAUTIFUL flamily is torn apart and destroyed all because of a DRUNK DRIVER. So yes, I believe Paris Hilton deserves to go to jail. If you suffered as much as my friend Michelle and her family, you'd agree with me too. I don't believe drunk drivers are punished properly. They need to be more strict and firm with them and they give SERIOUS jail time. I won't even tell you how little jail time the drunk driver received because it's an insult to Lina's memory. |
