Oh, I'm the same way. Don't ask me about spanish punctuation. I can read, speak, and write the actual words, but as far as punctuation goes in spanish...no clue. |

Count me in. I was born here but both my mom & dad are from Mexico. My parents spoke strictly Spanish & I learned English from an older brother sister (who learned from school). |

Soy Mexicana!! Hola Chicas, Yo soy de la Capital de Mexico, toda mi familia tambien. I came to Calif. when I was 6 yrs old and I did all my schooling here, so my Spanish is pretty bad because we speak a lot of Spanglish!!!.....I start taking in Spanish and finish in English...lol :D This pass x-mas I found a x-mas card for my Abuelita that is 96 in Spanglish, it was so funny and so me :p . My Yorkies are bilingual and understand Spanglish.....LOL yea right I wish!! Toda mi familia son salseros, desde que tenia 15 I would go dancing Salsa but I never told any of my friends my age in high school....and still I love it :thumbup: |
Boricua aqui! Hello everyone, Im a 100% boricua...living in Oklahoma city .Came here with the Airforce 11 yrs ago and my husband and we decided to stay here start our family...he is an Okie.We have 2 kids Aj is 12, Lexie is 5...and my little zoo..2 dogs...9 birds and ...about 20something fish Funny spanglish is used a bit in my house but mostly are " Malas Palabras " and my kids and hubby know when Im really mad....if anyone would like please drop me a line....@ FrancesLatina@aol.com I'm the proud mami and owner of Destiny my little 3.5 Black/gray Gold yorkie...she's my little princess besides my daughter who is 5... i am :] i`m hispaniccccc* i can speak, understand, and read spanish buuut i can`t spell it. english was my first language but growing up in mcallen,texas which is along the rio grande valley border and the population is mostly hispanic i learned spanish. <3 |
Mexican/American here I was born in the US (Texas) and did all of my schooling here, but I did visit my vis-abuela in Mexico all the time. I speak fluent Spanish and English. I love being bilingual. I truly believe that it's a very important asset. I love my culture and I am really proud of being who I am. Espero que podamos ser amigas. |
