¡ Hablo también Español! I am an American (born and raised in Pennsylvania), but ever since I was in Middle school I have loved Spanish. In High School I took every Spanish class offered by my school, and was a Spanish major in college (until recently when I switched to Computer Science). I realize this thread is way old but I feel left out! I'm Latina too you know I was born in NY but my parents and pretty much everyone else in my fam is Dominican soooo of course they all call me the gringa

hmm ... lets see ... im in my 7th year of spanish (started in 2nd grade) and i know how to count i know the colors, and most greetings =] does that count as speaking spanish ? lol JK

as you can tell ... native languages are NOT my strong point

You're correct Humacao is next to Fajardo.

I am Cuban American. I came here at the age of 7 in '71. My husband is also of Cuban parents but was born here. In my house we mostly speak English; however Thanksgiving is turkey, stuffing, arroz, frijoles negros, turron and pumkin pie

our dogs are also bilingual

Hi. I am part spanish and my two sons were born in Guatemala and brought to the US at the age of 8 months and one year. My husband and I adopted them. They are now 12 and 14.
