I just saw this, wow, I feel for you. Looks like either hives (I had a reaction to my contacts after I had my first baby and they were so swollen shut I had to get her up, dress her - using safety pins in the diapers, not pampers, while my EX-husband was kind enough to verbally tell me which direction the car was in and then drive me to the DR. since I was totally blind at the time). Sorry, I digressed. It does look like hives or conjunctivitus. Oh - with the hives - it felt like needles piercing my pupils right into my brain. Unbelievable painful and I have a very high threshold for pain. I hope you get it taken care of quickly, before it does any damage to your eye.

Amber I was just wondering how you are doing today? I thought about you all last night. I am a worry wart though .I Really hope you are feeling better.

Aww Thanks for thinking of me. My eye is feeling a little better the swelling as gone down a little i think i may be starting to get better it still is quite painful but getting a little better.

Are you still planing on going to the eye DR?

Yes it hasn't gone down as much as i would have liked so i am calling around today to find a doc open

LOL whatever!!!! Actually the swelling has gone down since i got up and posted last the pain has gone down a lot as well i think the drops are working. the swelling is just a little now it feels a million times better. BTW trying to get into an eye doctor with new insurance and being a new patient and wanting an appointment today is nearly impossible!

I'm happy you are better. However, I suggest you go ahead and get established with an eye doctor anyway. He/she might still be able to tell you what this was and how to prevent it from happening again. Hopefully there won't be a next time, but if there is, you won't have to go through the new patient hassle!

Thanks everyone you all have been great! I am happy to say the swelling is almost gone. I did something last night out of desperation and i think thats the reason i feel better i won't go into details because it is gross but i will say i am sure thats what helped. The pain is down only when i touch it now and when i put the drops in but it's tolerable. Thank you all for being here for me.

OK, first - I'm glad your doing better. Second - I'm nosey. What did you do to make it feel better and please don't say you pinched it to see what would come out!

When I had mine The Dr's didnt seem to be helping me, So I lifted my eye lid up and stuck vleaned needle in it. It drained , It was so nasty, but it felt so much better.

ewwwwwwwwwww lol. No what i did was i turned my eyelid over(very painful) and it was so red it was bleeding it was so raw but i seen a spot where the infection was (was not a sty) i wanted to wipe it to see if it was draining well i used a Q-Tip and seen i had this very thick film all over the inside of my eye lid i wiped this thick film off it was vey gross as soon as i did that the pain subsided alot and i mean a whole lot i checked the infected spot again and cleaned it with some warm water( ouchie) i then flipped my lid back and put in the drops and when i woke up the swelling had gone down some and as i type this right now the swelling is almost gone. i think this film was preventing the eyedrops to reach the infection. Also i think i may have an answer to why i got this.... I was turning the pump on on my swamp cooler and it was leaking i was telling hubby that as i turned around i looked up and turned the cooler on well I got drenched in this muddy gross dirty water and i remember i got it on my face and i wiped over my eye before i cleaned up i think it is very possible this is what caused the infection:eek: :eek: i will tell you this was the most painful eye thing i have ever had and i have scratched my eye before this was way more painful!!

I bet if you walked in with that swollen eye they'd see you right away.

However, I'm glad you are feeling better. You woulda had to pin me down and had someone else flip my eye lid to wipe the film off. eeewww I get the heebie jeebies just thinking about it.
