I am listing to it now, but not watching. I won't tell you who my faves are! NASCAR is like religion and politics....HA! What was the deal w/ Stewart? He got in trouble for something? Did anyone catch that on the pre-race show? Also, have you all notice that Waltrip has get to qualify for any races this year? That is NOT good for him or his new team! Whoa! |
Stewart was mad about the yellow flags last week. Said that the officials could control who won. He wouldn't talk to the press after the race so got fined 10,000 and probation. I guess it is in his contract to talk to the press. He had to have a conf. with the officials on Fri. Guess he also has a radio show on sirius and was badmouthing the officials. |

Whoa! That isn't good! When he first started, he had a bad temper, but it seemed things were looking up. It is sad because he can be a good driver. I don't have a favorite driver, really. I like some and not others. Some are good drivers and some I just like them. Hee,hee! I don't get into it much or keep up w/ everything, so I am not a "real" fan I guess....but I still like to watch it from time to time. |

And....was Jr. in the pits again? I think the last few races I have watched, he pitted on green and then there was a caution, so that isn't good! Crazy, Crazy! |

WOW lucky you and your girls. I really don't see how they walk away from those wrecks. Even with all the safety stuff it has got to hurt getting thrown around that way. |

Hey, who won? Who was in the top 5 or 10?? I wasn't watching, just listening to it, then had to take my daughters friend back home. Curious to see. Gordon has been one of the best drivers and Stewart is actually a good driver too (if his temper can stay under control). Johnson and the Bush brothers are good too....well, the Bush brothers can be good, but boy, they have got the tempers too. I like Martin, but he wasn't racing today and I like Burton too. Sadler was to be my favorite, but he doesn't have much luck...either does Jr. (I think he would rather act then race anymore). Hamlin and Gilliand seem to be good for "newcomers". Someone please share the winners. Thanks! |
JEFF GORDON WINS! Yay! I get so nervous those last few laps! He basically dominated the whole thing and then fell waaaaay back. Thank goodness he caught back up. Oh yeah, did I mention I was watching it too...?:p I actually went to the practice and Busch qualifying Friday.:D I'm only about 30 min from Talladega. |
Yes my boy Jeff won but he sure had me scared for awhile. Stewart of course had another temper tantrum. How lucky you are to have gone Friday and Sat. That was a scary wreck on Saturday:eek: We live about 30 minutes from the track in Ft. Worth. My daughter and her boyfriend went a couple of weeks ago but with my bad knees, I haven't attempted it yet. Really want to though. |
Nah, we just went Friday, didn't make it to the race Sat or Sun this time. (which is actually good since I have been sick at my stomach all day:( ) Maybe in the fall...but Gordon pulled out another one, so that's good enough for me! |
Yeah he did but he sure had me worried there for awhile. That was some good driving (and luck) to move up from so far back. |
I have always loved the way that the team mates help each other on the track. And let's face it, Gordon and Johnson do it better than any others. I had never watched a practice before until Friday and one thing I noticed and found interested was that when the two of them practiced, they practiced running together and drafting then. Unfortunate about Mears though...he had a really good car and the 3 of them were dominating everyone else. Then to wreck because of poor pit communication.:( |
