| interesting week So... Monday I was walking to class when I was told to be on the lookout for an escaped prisoner that escaped from a hospital a little less than a mile from here He was taken there by a prison guard or two and overpowered the guards, took their keys and unshackled himself and then shackled the guards and nurses in a room and then put on one of the guard's uniforms, took his gun and ran out. He got outside the hospital and carjacked some poor unsuspecting 50 year old man who had come to pick his mom up from the hospital and made him drive over 150 miles to a suburb of Columbus. He robbed two banks on the way. When the prisoner had his hostage drive up to some bank...the hostage made a run for it. Ran inside the business...the prisoner then took his car, drove some more, wrecked it and then kicked in the door of a house where he kept two hostages...one of whom managed to escape from a second floor window. While this was going on...nobody here knew what was going on or where he was. The media included. For all we knew...he was still around here somewhere...and having the feeling of an escaped dangerous prisoner possibly being near campus was SCARY to say the least! Nobody had ANY clue where he was...my entire school campus was crazy. Cops were EVERYWHERE. They even called in the afternoon shift early. This hospital is about a five minute walking distance from campus so it hit REALLY close to home But...thankfully...he was caught. My school sent out an email to everyone originally informing them of the escape and then around 6pm a second one was sent notifying everywhere of his capture. ...YIKES
