Hubby and son went arrow head hunting and when They left I said this time dont bring back any animals.jk And guess what, there was another starving beagle in the same area. It was so scared and ran in the woods. Now im wondering if some hunter lost his dogs.or worse. This is so sad. Im calling the shelter again tomorrow, I cant take another dog in and I cant leave it out there to starve, Well the shelter is closed being its Sunday. man I just dont know what to do. |

| I would bring the beagle home, feed it and then take it to the shelter tomorrow. How scared he/she must be starving and alone.

Im trying to rehome this one now. a member here wants her, but shes in WV and I cant get her there. I called and emailed beagle rescues and they say the same thing , They have to many dogs and cant take in any more. I have a bad back and I just cant handle any more, We have 4 that is ours and now the one beagle and 4 stray cats or drop offs. Its so sad. Last edited by YorkieShadow; 04-01-2007 at 10:59 AM. | |

| Well I kept calling the shelter and finally got a hold of them they took down my name and number, They are going to try and find the other dog, We gave them directions, and if they cant find their way my hubby told them he would drive there with them. Please pray that they find this poor lost soul and find a good home for him/her. |

| Do they seem older? That'd be horrible (and disgusting) if a hunter was just letting them loose because he didn't want them anymore, but, it wouldn't surprise me one bit.

| Hun beagles travel in packs. sounds like the two of them were running bunnies with the hunter and got turned off the rest of the pack. hunting beagles aren't always the most social dogs. they tend to bond with the hunter. beagles are notriuos for following thier noses and getting lost. poor littles ones. can you get the little one you have on a leash and collar and see if her sister will load up with her.? tyty |

| We put found dog ads in the newspaper in our town and in the towns around us and I made up signs with the info and dogs pictures on it and sent them with my family to post at the work place and in town. Im still waiting on the shelter to call me back to let me know if they found the other dog, If not we are going to have to go leave it some food, but the wild animals will prob eat it , but I cant sleep thinking about that dog out there starving. so if Hubby can get it we will have to bring it here too. as much as I hate to bring them here I have no other choice, I cant just leave them there to die. |
